Paradise, Calif.-based Adventist Health Feather River Hospital, a 101-bed facility that sustained significant damage during the deadly California Camp Fire in early November, plans to reopen "no matter what," according to the Chico Enterprise-Record.
The news comes just days after reports surfaced that the $64 million hospital may not reopen after assessing the damages.
The hospital's infrastructure was severely damaged, several units sustained water damage and the lower level offices were destroyed. However, hospital spokesperson Jill Kinney told the Chico Enterprise-Record, "We are reopening."
The hospital's cancer center, outpatient surgery center, emergency department, maternity ward and one large clinic are still standing, she added.
There is still no timeline for when Feather River Hospital will reopen its facilities, but Ms. Kinney said the hospital remains committed to providing healthcare services in Paradise.
