Alia Paavola -

An unconfirmed active shooter call prompted a temporary lockdown Wednesday night at East Chicago, Ind.-based St. Catherine's Hospital, according to KWCH.

The hospital was placed on lockdown at 7:30 p.m. as a security precaution. Police arrived on scene and found no evidence of an active shooter.

There were no injuries reported and the lockdown has been lifted.
