The rap artist Drake made a special visit to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Aug. 20 to surprise an 11-year-old patient at the hospital, reports CBS News.

Sofia Sanchez was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and underwent open-heart surgery about three weeks ago. She is now awaiting a heart transplant.

While recovering from her surgery, Sofia filmed a video where she danced to Drake's song "In My Feelings."

"I love your music, and I was hoping that you could come and cheer me up for my birthday," Sofia said in her video to Drake.

The video got back to musician, who was performing in Chicago last weekend and decided to pay Sofia a visit at the hospital.

"Right when he came in I was like, 'Oh my God,'" Sofia said in a video of the visit produced by Lurie Children's. "I didn't talk for a minute. I was like, 'Is this real or fake?'"

Drake also posted a picture from their visit on his Instagram page.
