UnityPoint offering orthopedic care again after 2018 clinic closure

UnityPoint Health-Trinity Regional Medical Center will begin offering orthopedic care again through a newly formed partnership, according to The Messenger.

Five details:

1. The Fort Dodge, Iowa-based hospital closed its orthopedic clinic on Nov. 8, 2018.

2. It will revive its orthopedic services through a partnership with Dakota Dunes, S.D.-based Center for Neurosciences, Orthopaedics & Spine.

3. CNOS orthopedic surgeon Richard Lawton, MD, will be the only orthopedic provider at the hospital's satellite clinic. He'll practice there every Monday.

4. The hospital will announce a start date after credentialing is finalized.

5. The satellite clinic will share space with UnityPoint Clinic Surgery.
