UVA Cancer Center shifts CAR-T therapy to outpatient setting

Charlottesville, Va.-based UVA Cancer Center is offering some patients chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy in an outpatient setting.

Previously, CAR-T therapy required an inpatient hospital stay, but the center is shifting some patients to its outpatient infusion center to receive treatment. The shift will begin in late July, according to a July 5 system news release.
