Researchers from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio have developed a drug that more than doubled median survival time and progression-free time for patients with glioblastoma during a clinical trial.

Houston-based University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will establish a nursing leadership academy as part of the center's Meyers Institute for Oncology Nursing with a $9 million gift from the F.W. Bert and Mae Dean Wheeler Foundation. 

Buffalo, N.Y.-based Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center recently opened the Roswell Park GMP Engineering & Cell Manufacturing Facility, a $98 million cell and gene therapy hub aimed at growing the center's capabilities for cancer cell therapy research.
