The Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program at Las Vegas-based Sunrise Health’s MountainView Hospital has opened an outpatient facility to provide advanced blood cancer care.

The Day Hospital, located on the MountainView Hospital campus, houses six exam rooms, six infusion bays, seven treatment rooms and one procedure room. It is the first facility of its kind in Nevada, according to a June 26 news release from Sunrise Health.

The outpatient facility currently offers transfusion services and cellular therapy procedures, and will eventually provide bone marrow transplants when clinically appropriate, the release said.

“By providing advanced therapies in an outpatient setting, we’re able to deliver high-quality, specialized care while reducing the burden of hospitalization for our immunocompromised patients,” Carolyn Mulroney, MD, medical director of the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program at MountainView Hospital, said in the release.

MountainView Hospital is part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare’s Sarah Cannon Transplant & Cellular Therapy Network.
