Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, Ga., has started construction of a $7.7 million radiation oncology center.
The oncology center will be an expansion of the hospital, encompassing 6,900 square feet and include a conference area for patient consultation, six exam rooms and a treatment area. It will be fully operational by next March.
"We have been working toward establishing a radiation oncology center for several years," said Jim Matney, medical center president and CEO. "It was important to us to provide access to this service for the people of Moultrie and the surrounding areas."
