The Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at HCA Houston Healthcare has selected Navneet Majhail, MD, to serve as deputy physician-in-chief of blood cancers, the organization said June 22.
Dr. Majhail will help expand patient access to cell and transplant therapies through the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network Centers of Excellence.
Dr. Majhail currently is director of Cleveland Clinic's blood and marrow transplant program and vice chair of hematology and medical oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
He will step into his new role in late September.
