Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope has opened Hope Plaza, the system’s largest outpatient care center in the nation.

The new facility aims to increase City of Hope’s outpatient visits by 69%, according to a May 12 news release from the system.

Hope Plaza houses 84 exam rooms, 110 infusion spaces and eight treatment rooms, in addition to 22 infusion spaces designated for clinical research. With more than $400 million invested in the project, the facility is the “centerpiece of a seven-year, $1 billion campus transformation,” the release said.

Services provided at the facility will span programs from prevention and screening to treatment and survivorship. It will also serve as home to more than 735 clinical trials, as well as integrative and supportive care services such as such as counseling, meditation, acupuncture and financial assistance.
