The National Comprehensive Cancer Network, a coalition of 33 leading U.S. cancer centers,  has rolled out a digital navigator for its clinical practice guidelines.

The new tool delivers frequently updated cancer care guidelines on an interactive, virtual platform, according to a June 24 news release from the organization.

To date, NCCN has published guidelines for colon, prostate and rectal cancer on the tool, with the aim of publishing all 88 NCCN guidelines on the platform. The NCCN also plans to optimize the tool with AI in the future.

“It has been 30 years since we first launched the NCCN Guidelines; since then, they have come to be used by millions of people worldwide every year, including more than 90% of U.S. and global physicians surveyed,” Crystal Denlinger, MD, CEO of NCCN, said in the release. “The new NCCN Guidelines Navigator tool simplifies the evolving evidence from the latest research, leverages expertise to put it into context and places it at the point-of-care for decision-making support and education.”
