Tulsa’s 850 Stakeholders, including 24 physicians, and a medical staff of 142 clinical professionals, form the team of experts who deliver evidence-based clinical therapies, supported by state-of-the art technology and whole person support, including nutrition, mind-body medicine and naturopathic medicine, among many others. The hospital experiences large outpatient volumes, upwards of 1,000 outpatient visits per day, in addition to 40 inpatient beds. The hospital has a healthy capital budget and a track record of incredibly strong financial performance and growth.  

 

Your Role
The CEO champions the strategic planning process and ensures alignment with enterprise-wide goals and initiatives. Your acumen positions the business to achieve industry-leading performance. You will identify critical goals and success factors across all operations and support your teams in achieving their objectives. You create an environment of collaboration and respect that fosters opportunities for personal growth and professional excellence, empowering stakeholders to stretch beyond what they thought they could do. The CEO is also member of the CTCA Executive Team and a frequent participant in numerous leadership forums with other CTCA hospitals, and you will be asked to collaborate across CTCA to ensure a one brand, one company spirit.

 

Making Day-to-Day Impact

•    Work with patients to ensure their voice is captured in everything we do.

•    Be a progressive leader with the mindset, energy, style and insight to creatively and technically lead one of the most unique hospitals in the country.

•    Develop short- and long-range management and organization plans to define responsibilities and business activities consistent with the facilities goals and objectives.

•    Leads physician group including all employment and contract physician matters.

•    Reports to a Local Board of Directors and the Chief Operating Officer of the company.

•    Provides oversight to the Chief Financial Officer and related operations to ensure fiscal success.

•    Reviews and approves financial reports, budgets, contracts and major expenditures.

•    Presents operational reports in regularly scheduled meetings and committees, including state-of-the-business reviews to corporate executives and the local Board of Directors.

•    Collaborates with other hospital CEOs and executives on major CTCA decisions, process changes, and projects or as assigned.

•    Works with corporate partners to build awareness and implementation of new Joint Commission (JC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Office of Inspector General (OIG), and other regulatory agencies standards and practices.

•    Aligns “top-box” patient survey results and identifies opportunities for improvement.

•    Applies critical study and creative thinking to gain understanding of each function’s contributions to both the organization and the patient experience—looking for innovation and growth opportunities.

•    Creates an environment for a “Patient/Stakeholder First” mindset at all levels of the organization.

•    Participates in external relation activities that are intended to establish attitudes of confidence, respect and support for the organization on the part of the various entities that interface with the hospital.

•    Consistent with the strategic plan, seeks and capitalizes on new business development opportunities for improving or expanding the hospital’s services in response to the needs of the community and the patients served.

•    Pursues a continuous development program by keeping informed of changes to health related legislation, development in leadership theory and practices, improvements in healthcare delivery systems.

•    Builds an effective and aligned leadership system which engages all hospital staff in process improvement work, focused on eliminating waste and continuously adding value for patients, families and the community.

•    Ensuring that diversity is in the minds of all leaders with sensitivity and understanding.

Key Qualifications

•    Demonstrated track record of a minimum of fifteen years in progressive management experience, successfully leading a mid- to large-sized multi-function healthcare or related services organization.

•    Minimum of five years in an executive leadership role.

•    Prior experience in analyzing and assessing financial costs and the impact of programs across a range of functions and goals.

•    Track record of creative problem solving and innovation within your field of expertise that demonstrates vision and follow-through.

•    An expert collaborator, partner and communicator with the acumen to build positive brand and value proposition experience for those who encounter CTCA, encompassing vendors,  outside partners, patients, CTCA stakeholders, and local community leaders.

•    Bachelor’s Degree is required.

•    Master’s Degree (MBA, MHA) strongly preferred.
