Hospitals treat victims of Indiana nightclub shooting

Multiple hospitals treated victims of a weekend shooting at an Indiana nightclub, according to The Times of Northwest Indiana.

Police said seven people — four male and three female —were shot Sunday morning at the Dirtty's Jazz and Blues Club in Gary, according to the report, which also cites information from the Associated Press. Another victim was also injured while en route to safety.

Most victims are believed to be in stable condition at local hospitals and receiving treatment, but one with more serious injuries went to a Chicago hospital, police said, according to the report.

According to police, one person is in custody and efforts were ongoing to locate another person of interest.

Police have indicated Sunday's shooting appears to be an isolated incident and have not yet revealed a motive.
