Survey: Americans Less Likely to Favor Medicaid Expansion in Their Own State

Two out of three Americans surveyed in a recent Kaiser Health Tracking poll said they support Medicaid expansion called for in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

However, those numbers change when participants are asked about expanding Medicaid coverage in their own state. Just under half of the people polled said they support Medicaid expansion in their state, while 43 percent would prefer to keep the state's coverage as it currently stands.
