Loophole in Health Reform Law Would Open Medicaid to Millions of Middle-Class People

The healthcare reform law would make Medicaid available to several million middle-class citizens, an issue that government officials say was discovered only after the bill was signed, according to an MSNBC report.

According to the report, the change could affect early retirees, as a married couple with a combined annual income of $64,000 could receive Medicaid. The anomaly would let 3 million more people qualify for Medicaid because Social Security benefits would not longer count towards eligibility.
