Delaying PPACA Could Save U.S. From Sequester, Gov. Jindal Says

Staff -
To avoid a last-minute mini-bargain similar to New Year's Day legislation to avert the sequestration spending cuts, Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-La.) suggested on NBC's "Meet The Press" that negotiators agree to delay elements of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act for a few years.

Gov. Jindal said tens of billions of dollars could be saved by pushing back key programs of the PPACA, such as Medicaid expansions and health insurance exchanges, before they begin, which would offset spending cuts brought on by the automatic sequestration cuts slated to take hold Friday.
