Becker's Healthcare is pleased to recognize 150 hospital and health system CFOs to know.

The individuals featured on this list lead financial departments for large health systems as well as small community hospitals. Many play an integral role in their organization's strategic planning, growth and transactions; they have also been recognized by their peers and serve on the board of directors for community organizations.

CFOs are listed in alphabetical order.

Clint Adams. Executive Vice President and CFO of Ardent Health Services (Nashville, Tenn.). Mr. Adams, who assumed the lead finance role at Ardent Health in 2003, has more than 20 years of accounting and healthcare experience. Prior to taking on the CFO position, Mr. Adams served as an audit senior manager for EY, where he managed multiple healthcare and technology companies. He also previously served as a controller for PathGroup and an audit manager and staff accountant for Deloitte. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and is a certified public accountant.

Jennifer Alvey. Senior Vice President and CFO of Indiana University Health (Indianapolis). Ms. Alvey joined IU Health as treasurer in 2011 and quickly shifted into the role of vice president of revenue cycle services. In 2016, she climbed her way to the top of IU Health's financial leadership team, earning the senior vice president and CFO titles. Due in part to Ms. Alvey's leadership, IU Health was able to meet its year-end 2017 budget. Prior to joining IU Health, Ms. Alvey served as public finance director for the state of Indiana and was the COO and general counsel for the Indiana Finance Authority.

Mark Anderson. CFO of Lane Regional Medical Center (Zachary, La.). Mr. Anderson, who joined Lane Regional Medical Center in 2011, oversees all finance, accounting and revenue cycle functions. He brought more than 18 years of executive leadership experience to Lane Regional, previously serving as CFO of Danville (Va.) Regional Medical Center and Martinsville (Va.) Memorial Hospital. He earned a degree in finance from Ruston-based Louisiana Tech University.

Rhonda Anderson. Senior Vice President and CFO of Ascension Healthcare, a division of Ascension (St. Louis). Ms. Anderson assumed the senior vice president and CFO position at Ascension’s Healthcare Division in 2014, where she provides strategic and operational financial leadership to Ascension's delivery division. Under Ms. Anderson's leadership, Ascension has begun transitioning from a fee-for-service model to a value-based reimbursement model. Prior to joining Ascension, Ms. Anderson served as president of Ascension’s Milwaukee-based Columbia St. Mary's business development division and CFO of the Milwaukee-based hospital. In addition, she spent 20 years at Ascension’s Baltimore-based Saint Agnes Healthcare, where she served in various financial management roles, capping her tenure as senior vice president and CFO.

Joe Barnes. CFO of Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital (Weston, W.Va.). Mr. Barnes became CFO of Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2017 after serving as CFO of Summersville (W.Va.) Regional Medical Center. He also has experience as CFO of Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, W.Va., and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. In his current role, Mr. Barnes oversees the financial operations of the health system, which includes the 70-bed Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. The health system merged with Morgantown, W.Va.-based Mon Health in October 2017.

Dara Bartels. CFO of Gundersen Health System (La Crosse, Wis.). Ms. Bartels joined Gundersen Health System in 2010 as a director of finance. A year later, she transitioned to the system controller and was promoted to the CFO position in 2016. Before serving in finance roles at Gundersen, Ms. Bartels worked as a senior internal auditor and controller for West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health. Ms. Bartels is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and serves as the finance committee chair for Quartz, a nonprofit, provider-owned insurance company.

Jill Batty. CFO of Cambridge (Mass.) Health Alliance. Ms. Batty, who has more than 20 years of leadership experience, joined Cambridge Health Alliance as CFO in 2014. Prior to her financial leadership role at CHA, Ms. Batty served as senior vice president of finance and CFO of Keene, N.H.-based Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock, where she helped the organization transition away from fee-for-service and to population health management. She is a fellow in the Healthcare Management Association and is a certified public accountant.

Gregg Beeg. CFO of Oaklawn Hospital (Marshall, Mich.). Mr. Beeg, a veteran healthcare financial leader, joined Oaklawn Hospital in March 2014. Since his graduation in 1979, Mr. Beeg has held roles at hospitals across Michigan. He began his career as an accountant at Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Medical Center, advancing to a financial analyst position and then becoming accounting supervisor. He has also served as chief financial consultant of Carson City Hospital, vice president of finance and operations and CFO of Mount Pleasant-based McLaren Central Michigan, and director of finance and CFO of joint ventures at Grand Rapids-based St. Mary's Mercy Medical Center. Mr. Beeg is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Chris Bergman. Vice President and CFO of Dayton (Ohio) Children's Hospital. Mr. Bergman brings more than 35 years of experience to his role as vice president and CFO of Dayton Children's Hospital, a role he assumed in January 2016. As vice president and CFO, Mr. Bergman oversees accounting, accounts payable, revenue cycle, corporate compliance and supply chain operations. Prior to joining Dayton Children's, he served as vice president and CFO of Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, CFO of Sparrow Health System in Lansing, Mich., and vice president of finance at Centura Health in Centennial, Colo.

Laurie Beyer. CFO of GBMC HealthCare (Towson, Md.). Ms. Beyer joined Greater Baltimore Medical Center's leadership team in October 2017 after serving as senior vice president and CFO of Elkton, Md.-based Union Hospital of Cecil County for 11 years. While at Union Hospital, she developed a high-performance finance and revenue cycle team and led the implementation of the hospital's EMR system. Ms. Beyer also has previous experience as the corporate controller of St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. In her current role, she oversees the financial department for GBMC, a 255-bed medical center.

Venkat Bhamidipati. Executive Vice President and CFO of Providence St. Joseph Health (Renton, Wash.). As executive vice president and CFO of Providence St. Joseph, a role he assumed in July 2017, Mr. Bhamidipati oversees finance, revenue diversification, accounting and reimbursement at the country's third-largest health system by number of hospitals. Prior to joining Providence St. Joseph, Mr. Bhamidipati spent 13 years at Microsoft, where he held several executive positions, such as CFO of operations and technology and CFO of Microsoft's Worldwide Enterprise Group. Under Mr. Bhamidipati's leadership, the $21 billion health system has focused on making proper investments to maintain financial and compliance integrity.

Mike Bierman. Vice President of Operations Finance for Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). Mr. Bierman, who assumed his financial leadership position in 2013, serves as the vice president of operations finance for Tenet, overseeing financial reporting, revenue cycle and capital planning across Tenet's 68-hospital network. He previously served as vice president and CFO of managed care for Tenet, where he was responsible for all financial aspects of Tenet's managed care portfolio. He first joined Tenet in 1991 as an accounting clerk for its Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett, Texas, now known as Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Lake Point, where he was later promoted to hospital controller. He also spent time as CFO of Tenet's Garland (Texas) Community Hospital before returning to Lake Pointe as CFO.

Ron Blaustein. CFO of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital (Chicago). Mr. Blaustein has served in the CFO role at Lurie Children's since 2014, a promotion from his previous role as associate CFO. As CFO, Mr. Blaustein leads the financial department for Lurie Children's, which saw 208,630 patient visits in 2017 and was ranked the No. 7 children's hospital by U.S. News & World Report in the 2017-18 rankings. Prior to joining Lurie Children's, Mr. Blaustein gained strategic financial planning experience while working at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Kimberly Bones. CFO and Chief Compliance Officer of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-McKinney (Texas). Ms. Bones is on the leadership team at Baylor Scott & White-McKinney, a 143-bed nonprofit hospital in north Texas. She returned to the McKinney facility in July 2016 after serving as CFO of Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Sherman (Texas). Previously, Ms. Bones was the founding senior financial analyst at Baylor Scott & White-McKinney.

Ben Bontrager. CFO of Goshen (Ind.) Health. Prior to becoming CFO of Goshen Health in January 2018, Mr. Bontrager spent three years as the organization's director of financial services. He also spent time as CFO and then vice president of operations at Elkhart, Ind.-based LeMaster Steel Erectors before joining Goshen Health. Outside of his CFO duties, he is treasurer of the board for the Center for Healing & Hope in Goshen, an organization dedicated to providing medical services and advocacy for the local community.

Cara Breidster. CFO of the West Central Region of IU Health (Lafayette, Ind.). Ms. Breidster is CFO of the West Central Region of Indianapolis-based IU Health, a 16-hospital system with approximately 33,000 employees. A certified public accountant, she was vice president of finance and corporate controller at IU Health before becoming CFO of IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette in 2012. Early in her career, Ms. Breidster gained experience working as a tax principal at EY.

Michael Breslin. Senior Vice President and CFO of NewYork-Presbyterian (New York City). Mr. Breslin stepped into the CFO role for the NewYork-Presbyterian health system in January 2018, taking on responsibilities including oversight of financial planning, revenue cycle and supply chain. He previously spent three years as senior vice president of finance with the health system. Prior to taking a position with NewYork-Presbyterian, Mr. Breslin served as senior vice president of finance for one of the system's sponsored hospitals — New York Methodist Hospital. Mr. Breslin is a certified public accountant.

Michael Browning. CFO of ProMedica (Toledo, Ohio). With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare finance, Mr. Browning began his position as CFO of the nonprofit health system ProMedica in August 2016. Last year, Mr. Browning was part of the leadership team that implemented nearly $60 million in cost reduction strategies across the organization and improved operating income by more than $108 million compared to the previous year. Prior to joining ProMedica, Mr. Browning was CFO of WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, N.C., and spent five years as senior vice president and CFO of Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Colleen M. Blye. Executive Vice President and CFO of Montefiore Health System (Bronx, N.Y.). As CFO, Ms. Blye is responsible for finances across the 11-hospital Montefiore Health System and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, N.Y. During her tenure, Ms. Blye has played a key role in propelling Montefiore's ACO into a top Pioneer ACO performer. The system, which is now continuing within the Next Generation ACO model, has worked toward a systemwide collaborative approach to drive outcomes and efficiencies. Ms. Blye previously held various roles with large healthcare organizations, such as executive vice president and CFO of the six-hospital Catholic Health Services of Long Island (N.Y.), and executive vice president for finance and integrated services at Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives, which has approximately 80 hospitals nationwide.

Mark Bogen. Senior Vice President and CFO of South Nassau Communities Hospital (Oceanside, N.Y.). Mr. Bogen has more than 35 years of healthcare financial operations experience. His current responsibilities include directing South Nassau's financial planning initiatives, as well as coordinating the hospital's relationships with auditors, third-party reimbursement agents and other entities. Prior to joining South Nassau, he was a director at Besler Consulting, a healthcare financial consulting firm. Mr. Bogen received the Long Island Business News' CFO of the Year Award in 2014 and 2015.

Robert Broermann. Senior Vice President and CFO of Sentara Healthcare (Norfolk, Va.). Mr. Broermann was appointed to his current role as senior vice president and CFO of Sentara Healthcare in 2001. As CFO, he is responsible for financial management across Sentara, a not-for-profit system with 12 acute care hospitals, nearly 28,000 employees and four medical groups. The health system also includes Optima Health, a health plan covering 455,000 people in Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio. Mr. Broermann joined Sentara in 1998 when the health system merged with Tidewater Health Care, where he was CFO. He was also previously senior audit manager with Coopers & Lybrand, which merged with Price Waterhouse in 1998 to create PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mike Browder. Executive Vice President and CFO of RCCH HealthCare Partners (Brentwood, Tenn.). Mr. Browder is CFO of RCCH HealthCare Partners, the organization created through the 2016 merger of Brentwood-based RegionalCare Hospital Partners and Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare. He previously held the same position with RegionalCare. His previous positions also include president and CEO of Nashville, Tenn.-based Essent Healthcare, as well as senior vice president and CFO of TMC HealthCare in Tucson, Ariz.

Jim Budzinski. Executive Vice President and CFO of WellStar Health System (Marietta, Ga.). Mr. Budzinski was named executive vice president and CFO of WellStar Health System, an 11-hospital nonprofit system, in July 2008. Before joining WellStar, Mr. Budzinski was CFO of St. John's Health System in Springfield, Mo., which is now known as Mercy. He also previously served as CFO of Sparrow Health System in Lansing, Mich.

Michael Burke. Senior Vice President, Vice Dean and Corporate CFO of NYU Langone Health (New York City). Since 2008, Mr. Burke has been the senior vice president, vice dean and corporate CFO of NYU Langone Health. Since assuming responsibility of the finance departments at NYU Langone's hospital and medical school, Mr. Burke has helped the organization transform its financial performance by overhauling existing business processes. Mr. Burke, who has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare financial management, served as senior vice president and CFO of Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston prior to joining NYU Langone.

Daniel Cancelmi. CFO of Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). Mr. Cancelmi joined Tenet Healthcare, which operates 68 hospitals, more than a decade ago and worked his way through the ranks over the years. Before serving as CFO of Tenet, Mr. Cancelmi was the hospital operator's principal accounting officer and senior vice president. Prior to joining Tenet, Mr. Cancelmi held several positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, including in the firm's New York City-based National Accounting and SEC office.

Dan Carpenter. Senior Vice President and CFO of UnityPoint Health (West Des Moines, Iowa). Mr. Carpenter has served UnityPoint Health, which provides care across Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin, for more than 15 years and was named senior vice president and CFO of the health system in January 2017. During his first full year as CFO, Mr. Carpenter partnered with the strategic analytics and business development departments to update UnityPoint's five-year financial forecast, launched a rolling eight-quarter financial forecast for each region and the system as a whole, and helped redesign financial reporting to put an emphasis on enterprise value reporting.

Barbara Carveth. Vice President of Finance and CFO of University of Colorado Hospital (Aurora). Since 2013, Ms. Carveth has served as vice president and CFO of University of Colorado Hospital, an academic medical center with 620 inpatient beds. Ms. Carveth, who has more than a decade of healthcare finance experience, previously served as CFO of two other Colorado hospitals: St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo and St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster.

Paul Castillo. CFO of Michigan Medicine (Ann Arbor). Mr. Castillo has served as CFO of Michigan Medicine since 2011, but he has many more years of experience in healthcare financial management. Prior to joining Michigan Medicine, Mr. Castillo served as vice president of finance and CFO of UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside in Pittsburgh after holding several other top financial positions within the UPMC system. He also previously served as vice president of finance at St. Vincent Health System in Erie, Pa., after more than 10 years with Arthur Andersen & Co.

Steve Chen. Vice President of Finance and CFO of Adventist Health Bakersfield (Calif.). Mr. Chen has nearly two decades of healthcare finance experience. He began his career as senior finance officer and CFO of Adventist Hinsdale (Ill.) Hospital in 2000. In 2008, he was named CFO of Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, a position he held for three years. He later became vice president of executive health resources at the Physician Advisory Co. in Denver, and then served as CFO of Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield before taking on his current role at Adventist Health Bakersfield.

Michael Coggin. Executive Vice President and CFO of LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.). Mr. Coggin was appointed executive vice president and CFO of LifePoint Health, which operates 71 hospital campuses, in 2016. Prior to taking on his current role with the system, Mr. Coggin served as senior vice president and chief accounting officer for LifePoint, a position he held for about eight years. Before joining LifePoint, Mr. Coggin was CFO of Nashville, Tenn.-based Specialty Care Services Group.

Mike Connors. Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of Cape Cod Healthcare (Hyannis, Mass.). Mr. Connors joined Cape Cod Healthcare in 2009 after gaining many years of experience in other healthcare finance leadership roles. Before joining Cape Cod Healthcare, which includes two acute care hospitals, Mr. Connors served as senior vice president and CFO of Signature Healthcare in Brockton, Mass. Prior to Signature, Mr. Connors was CFO of Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass., and vice president of finance at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Mass.

Thomas Corrigan. Executive Vice President and CFO of Christiana Care Health System (Newark, Del.). Since October 2006, Mr. Corrigan has served as executive vice president and CFO of Christiana Care Health System, a two-hospital system with more than 1,100 beds. He was previously CFO for ADP Brokerage Services Group in Jersey City, N.J., and president of ADP Investment Center in Wilmington, Del. A certified public accountant, Mr. Corrigan has an MBA from Columbia University in New York City.

Carol Crews. Senior Vice President and CFO of Tanner Health System (Carrollton, Ga.). Ms. Crews, a certified public accountant, joined Tanner Health System as a staff accountant in 1991, rising through the ranks to serve as a senior accountant, controller and vice president of finance before taking on her current role. In addition to serving as senior vice president and CFO of Tanner, Ms. Crews is a member of the west Georgia chapter of the Georgia Society of CPAs, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Georgia Hospital Association.

Michele Cusack. Senior Vice President and CFO of Northwell Health (New Hyde Park, N.Y.). Ms. Cusack is a certified public accountant with 20-plus years of experience as a healthcare executive. Alongside her roles as senior vice president and CFO, Ms. Cusack also holds an administrative role on the finance and audit committees of Northwell Health's board of trustees and is a member of the dean's advisory board at Hempstead, N.Y.-based Hofstra University's Frank G. Zarb School of Business, where she earned her bachelor's of business administration and MBA.

Dennis Dahlen. CFO of Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.). Mr. Dahlen joined Mayo Clinic as CFO in November 2017 after an almost 20-year career at Phoenix-based Banner Health, including 11 years as senior vice president of finance and CFO. He boasts 30-plus years of healthcare experience, including multiple leadership roles at Banner Health and Fargo, N.D.-based Lutheran Health System. Mr. Dahlen earned a master's degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.

Peter DeAngelis Jr. Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of Jefferson (Philadelphia). Mr. DeAngelis boasts 30-plus years of leadership in the healthcare industry, including stints as CFO of Catholic Health East, a Newtown Square, Pa.-based health system that merged with Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health in 2013, and Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania Health System. Prior to becoming executive vice president and CFAO of Jefferson in March 2016, Mr. DeAngelis served as a partner in strategic execution practice at IMA Consulting, a national healthcare consulting firm.

Robert DeMichiei. Executive Vice President and CFO of UPMC (Pittsburgh). Mr. DeMichiei, a certified public accountant, joined UPMC 2004. Prior to his career at UPMC, Mr. DeMichiei held various executive roles at General Electric Co., including manager of finance for global business development and integration of GE Energy, and CFO of GE Transportation Systems' Global Service Operations. Today, Mr. DeMichiei serves on various committees in the Pittsburgh community, including as finance committee chairman of the United Way of Allegheny County and on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry.

Andrew DeVoe. CFO of TriHealth (Cincinnati). Mr. DeVoe, who joined TriHealth in 2016, boasts more than 25 years of finance leadership and management experience. Mr. DeVoe previously served as senior vice president and CFO at Aria Health System, a Philadelphia-based health system that merged with Philadelphia-based Jefferson in 2016. Prior to that, he was CFO of Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania Health System.
Jim Dietsche. Executive Vice President and CFO of Bellin Health (Green Bay, Wis.). Mr. Dietsche joined Bellin Health's executive team in 2005 after serving as a healthcare partner at Wipfli, an accounting and consulting firm. In his current role, Mr. Dietsche oversees the financial aspects of the health system and is involved in strategic planning and operational support for the organization. He has also spent time as a board member of Bellin-ThedaCare Healthcare Partners and the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

Lori Donaldson. CFO of UC San Diego Health. Ms. Donaldson joined UC San Diego Health in 1990 after serving as an assistant vice president of financial planning and analysis for a large financial institution. At UC San Diego Health, Ms. Donaldson served as controller for 13 years before being appointed CFO in 2010. Today, she is a member of the board of the Bannister Family House, a UC San Diego Health program that provides affordable housing to families of patients undergoing long-term care, and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Christopher Dunleavy. CFO of Brigham Health (Boston). Mr. Dunleavy brings 26-plus years of financial management experience in healthcare, public accounting and service industries to Brigham Health. He joined the health system in 2016 after serving as a group senior vice president and CFO at Vizient, a healthcare management consulting company, and executive vice president and CFO of USMD Holdings, a company that includes Irving, Texas-based USMD Health System.

Gordon Edwards. CFO of Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic Health System. Mr. Edwards became CFO of Marshfield Clinic Health System in September 2015 after serving as system vice president of finance and Columbia Network CFO of Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth. He also has experience as CFO for La Crosse, Wis.-based Gundersen Health System. He served on the Healthcare Financial Management Association's financial accounting standards board.

Brian Elisco. Group CFO of San Antonio and North Texas for Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). As Tenet's Group CFO for the San Antonio and North Texas markets, Mr. Elisco oversees financial operations at seven hospitals and 15 rehabilitation centers. He also serves as CFO of North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, part of Tenet's San Antonio-based Baptist Health System. Mr. Elisco has played an integral role in establishing the success of the Tenet Leadership Academy, an internal leadership development program.

Chris Ellington. President of UNC Health Care Network Hospitals and Executive Vice President and CFO of UNC Hospitals at Chapel Hill (N.C.). Mr. Ellington joined UNC as the principal fiscal leader for the health system's affiliations in 2008, prior to which he was vice president of fiscal services and CFO of Appalachian Regional Healthcare in Lexington, Ky. In his current role, he is responsible for the health system's eight network hospitals and provides financial guidance to UNC Hospitals, a public academic medical center that comprises N.C. Memorial Hospital, N.C. Children's Hospital, N.C. Neurosciences Hospital and N.C. Women's Hospital. He is a member of the North Carolina Hospital Association's board.

Dan Enderson. Senior Vice President and CFO of Centura Health (Centennial, Colo.). Mr. Enderson became senior vice president and CFO of the 17-hospital Centura Health in 2011. The health system also includes 13 affiliate hospitals, urgent care centers, emergency rooms, mountain clinics, and 100-plus physician practices and clinics. Along with his team, Mr. Enderson was responsible for a 54 percent growth in Centura's net revenue during his tenure. The health system also deployed the Epic EHR organizationwide under his leadership. His prior experience includes serving as senior vice president and CFO of Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Burleson, Texas, and as CFO for the Southwest Region of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System.

Steve Filton. Executive Vice President and CFO of Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.). Mr. Filton became executive vice president and CFO of Universal Health Services, which comprises 326 inpatient acute care hospitals and behavioral health facilities, in 2003. As CFO, he oversees annual revenues of $10 billion and handles investor relations. He has worked at UHS since 1985, joining as director of corporate accounting before working his way up.

Kenneth Fisher. Associate Vice President of Finance for UI Health Care and CFO of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (Iowa City). Mr. Fisher became associate vice president of finance at UI Health Care and CFO of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in June 2007. Equipped with 40-plus years of healthcare finance leadership experience, Mr. Fisher is responsible for the financial well-being of an 811-bed hospital and 200 outpatient clinics and care areas, among other facilities. He was previously a director at Navigant Consulting, serving as interim CFO and a consultant for numerous healthcare clients.

Larry Fitzgerald. Chief Financial and Business Development Officer for University of Virginia Health System (Charlottesville). Mr. Fitzgerald has worked at UVA Health System since 1999, and as chief financial and business development officer he was the primary negotiator for the regional partnership with Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health established in 2016. He also helped develop the UVA Transitional Care Hospital, the first long-term acute care hospital in the Charlottesville region. He previously served as vice president and CFO of University of Pittsburgh Physicians and vice president and CFO of Greenville (S.C.) Hospital System.

Henry Franey. Executive Vice President and CFO of University of Maryland Medical System (Baltimore). As executive vice president and CFO, Mr. Franey oversees the university-based regional healthcare system's financial services, including capital planning and debt management. He joined the health system's flagship campus, the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, in 1992 as senior vice president and CFO. During his more than three decades in the healthcare arena, Mr. Franey has served on the Healthcare Financial Management Association's National Advisory Council and previously led the Maryland Chapter of HFMA.

Lawrence Furnstahl. Executive Vice President and CFO of Oregon Health & Science University (Portland). As executive vice president and CFO, Mr. Furnstahl oversees the financial health of the $2.8 billion Oregon Health & Science University, a public corporation with 2,796 faculty members, nearly 16,000 employees and $410 million in research award funding. He has 25-plus years of experience as a CFO, including a tenure as chief financial and strategy officer at University of Chicago Medical Center. He is a member of the visiting committee to the University of Chicago's physical sciences division.

John Geppi. Executive Vice President and CFO of Covenant Health (Knoxville, Tenn.). Mr. Geppi became executive vice president and CFO of the 10-hospital Covenant Health in 2000. During his tenure, the health system has invested more than $1.3 billion in facilities, equipment and health technology. The health system's operating revenue soared to $1.2 billion-plus in 2016. Mr. Geppi was named CFO of the Year by the Knoxville chapter of Financial Executives International and the Greater Knoxville Business Journal in 2012. Mr. Geppi came to Covenant Health from Memorial Healthcare System in Chattanooga, Tenn., where he was vice president and CFO.

Steven Glass. CFO and Treasurer of Cleveland Clinic. Mr. Glass has served in his current role as treasurer and CFO of Cleveland Clinic since 2005, prior to which he served as controller and chief accounting officer. As CFO, he oversaw the growth of operating revenue by 5 percent to $8.4 billion in 2017. He is responsible for the financial health of Cleveland Clinic, which has operations in Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Canada and the United Arab Emirates. He joined the organization from Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Health, where he was vice president of finance. He is a member of the Ohio Hospital Association's board.

Michael Gleason. CFO of Baptist Health Care (Pensacola, Fla.). Mr. Gleason has been with Baptist Health since August 2015. He came to the health system after a stint at University of Florida Health Jacksonville, where he was senior vice president, CFO and treasurer. He has previous healthcare experience through his 17 years with Gainesville-based UF Health. The Jacksonville Business Journal awarded him its 2012 Ultimate CFO Award.

Robert Glenning. President of the Financial Services Division and CFO of Hackensack Meridian Health (Edison, N.J.). Mr. Glenning brought extensive experience with him when he joined Hackensack Meridian Health in 2007. Since then, his actions have helped the health system raise its Standard & Poor's rating from stable to positive, and secured a reaffirmed "A-" rating on its 2008 and 2010 bonds. Mr. Glenning received a pair of honors from NJBIZ, securing the No. 18 ranking on its Power 50 in Healthcare in 2016 and receiving its CFO of the Year recognition in 2011.

Alan Goldsmith. Executive Vice President and CFO of Broward Health (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.). Overseeing $1.2 billion in operating revenue for one of the nation's 10 largest public healthcare systems is Mr. Goldsmith. Tasked with myriad responsibilities, he recently was the driving force behind a new annual managerial incentive plan and is overseeing the finances for Broward Health's two major ongoing construction projects. In 2010, Mr. Goldsmith was part of the Tenet Circle of Excellence Award-winning Miami-based North Shore Medical Center's administrative team.

Richard Goode. President of Corporate Services and CFO for Children's Health (Dallas). Mr. Goode is the driving force behind Children's Health's financial success. As president of corporate services and CFO he oversaw a health system with $3.1 billion in revenue in 2016. A two-time Ironman triathlete, Mr. Goode approaches the business of healthcare with the same mentality he does for the 140.6-mile race. His efforts have doubled the health system's net operating income from $38 million in 2016 to $80 million in 2017. He has also implemented many financial analysis tools to provide better insight into the system's financial health.

Joe Guarracino. Senior Vice President and CFO of White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital. At the helm of White Plains Hospital's finances is Mr. Guarracino. Over the past two years, his actions have improved White Plains Hospital's revenue cycle by more than $30 million by making a series of enhancements, while still keeping accounts receivable days to a best-practice level. He also reaped the benefits of purchasing and material management initiatives and developed and implemented a new coding program that cut costs by increasing the hospital's coding accuracy and compliance. Mr. Guarracino has extensive finance experience: He is a past CFO for New York City-based The Brooklyn Hospital Center and a past CFO for Hudson Valley, N.Y.-based The Health Quest Hospitals.

Dana Haering. CFO of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford (Palo Alto, Calif.). With more than 20 years of accounting experience, Ms. Haering has been with Lucile Packard Children's since 2011 and became CFO in 2013. She has a wealth of experience in the healthcare industry, performing accounting services for academic medical centers, community hospitals, health plans, medical groups and independent practice associations. Ms. Haering is an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants member.

Suzanne Haggard. CFO of LCMC Health (New Orleans). At the head of a parent organization overseeing the finances for five New Orleans-area medical centers, Ms. Haggard has personally overseen the opening and financial management integration of two new hospitals. She did this while working diligently to strengthen and improve the entire health system's finances. Under Ms. Haggard's leadership, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its "A+" long-term rating on the Louisiana Public Facilities Authority's series 2015A tax-exempt hospital revenue bonds, issued for LCMC.

Don Halliwill. Executive Vice President and CFO of Carilion Clinic (Roanoke, Va.). Mr. Halliwill approaches his role as CFO with the patient in mind. He routinely challenges everyone at Carilion Clinic to consider the hospital's funds the "patients' money," and has personally adopted a mindset that the patient's voice should always be heard. Since becoming CFO in 2010, Mr. Halliwill has overseen all major Carilion expansions, including the 2016 opening of the Institute for Orthopaedics and Neurosciences and the initial planning of an expansion at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Fred Hargett. CFO of Novant Health (Winston-Salem, N.C.). Joining Novant Health in 2003, Mr. Hargett advanced through the system until he became CFO. With a deep well of experience in strategic planning, business development and financial forecasting to draw from, Mr. Hargett came to Novant after serving as Ernst & Young's manager of healthcare consulting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Charles Handley. Market CFO for the El Paso and Rio Grande Market of Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). Employed by Tenet for more than 21 years, Mr. Handley works closely with his colleagues to ensure Tenet's high-level care is reflected accurately in the hospital's reimbursement. Along with his aforementioned titles, Mr. Handley serves as CFO for both The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus and Providence Children's Hospital, both in El Paso, Texas.

Scott Hawig. Executive Vice President of Finance, Treasurer, and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee). As the executive vice president of finance, treasurer and CFAO of Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, Mr. Hawig is responsible for all finance-related strategic and operational matters, including budgeting, financial reporting, decision support and revenue cycle management. He previously oversaw revenue cycle management for Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System and managed more than $2.8 billion in net revenue.

Mike Heather. CFO of Prime Healthcare Services (Ontario, Calif.). Mr. Heather has served as CFO of Prime Healthcare, a 45-hospital health system spanning 14 states, for the past five years. Prior to that, he was CFO of Los Angeles-based Prospect Medical Holdings and helped the company go public in 2005, overseeing its finance department functions. Mr. Heather has served on the board and is active with CASA, a nonprofit that aids abandoned and neglected children. He is a certified public accountant in California and is licensed to practice internationally.

Tim Heinrich. CFO of Thorek Memorial Hospital (Chicago). Since September 2014, Mr. Heinrich has served as CFO of Thorek Memorial Hospital, a 218-bed nonprofit acute care facility. Before joining Thorek, he served as the president of Heinrich & Associates, a full-service accounting firm.

Scott Herndon. Senior Vice President and CFO of Ascension Texas (Austin). As senior vice president and CFO of Ascension Texas, Mr. Herndon is responsible for managing the finances of 13 hospitals in central Texas and 75 outpatient facilities that make up Ascension's Texas division, comprising Seton Healthcare Family in Austin and Providence Healthcare Network in Waco. Before joining Ascension in June 2016, Mr. Herndon spent five years leading financial operations and strategies at HCA Healthcare medical centers across Florida, where he most recently served as CFO for Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami. A certified public accountant, Mr. Herndon has also held finance positions at Baptist Health System in Alabama, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and John Peter Smith Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dennis Hesch. Executive Vice President and System CFO of The Carle Foundation (Urbana, Ill.). Mr. Hesch joined The Carle Foundation in 2006 after a seven-year stint in Deloitte's healthcare sector. As executive vice president and system CFO of The Carle Foundation, Mr. Hesch uses his expertise as a certified public accountant to oversee treasury, financing and risk management and contribute to strategic planning, revenue cycle management and systems deployment. He is an active volunteer in his community and serves as treasurer of the local Boys and Girls Club.

Rick Hinds. Executive Vice President and CFO of UC Health (Cincinnati). Mr. Hinds joined UC Health as executive vice president and CFO in 2010 after serving as interim CEO for UC Health's predecessor, the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. Throughout his career, Mr. Hinds has held numerous financial leadership positions, including vice president of finance for University Hospital Cincinnati and vice president of finance and operations for Hamilton, Ohio-based Fort Hamilton Hospital. In 2011, Mr. Hinds was honored as the Cincinnati Business Courier's CFO of the Year.

Linda Hoff. CFO of Stanford (Calif.) Health Care. Stanford Health Care tapped Ms. Hoff as CFO in 2017, putting her at the helm of the $4.6 billion system's financial department, where she drove an operating margin of 6 percent. Before joining Stanford, Ms. Hoff was senior vice president and CFO of Portland, Ore.-based Legacy Health. She has also served as president of Physicians Plus Insurance Corp., a healthcare insurance firm in Madison, Wis.

Reed Hurley. Executive Vice President and CFO of University Health System (San Antonio). Mr. Hurley joined University Health System in 2014 as executive vice president and CFO after spending 12 years as a hospital CFO for for-profit, publicly traded healthcare organizations. Mr. Hurley serves on the board of Clarity Child Guidance Center and the University Health System Board of Pension Trustees. He is also a member of the Texas Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account Investment Advisory Committee and belongs to the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

William R. Huston. Senior Vice President and CFO of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (Dallas). Mr. Huston joined Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 2013 as senior vice president and CFO. He oversees the hospital's business administration, revenue cycle and supply chain operations. He previously served as senior vice president and CFO for multiple large healthcare networks before joining Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

Allen Johnson. CFO of Truman Medical Centers (Kansas City, Mo.). Mr. Johnson has been CFO of Truman Medical Centers since 1999. At Truman, Mr. Johnson oversees all accounting, budgeting and revenue cycle operations. Since he joined, the hospital's revenue has increased by $208 million. Mr. Johnson began his career as a certified public accountant at several Minneapolis accounting firms before he transitioned into healthcare as a reimbursement auditor at Blue Cross Blue Shield in 1985. He then served as director of reimbursement at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis and had an eight-year stint as CFO of Metropolitan Health Plan, a Minnesota-based HMO.

Evan Jones. Executive Vice President and CFO of Lakeland (Fla.) Regional Health. Before Mr. Jones joined Lakeland Regional Health in 2012 as executive vice president and CFO, the hospital's operating margin was consistently below Moody's median benchmark for "A2"-rated organizations. With his oversight, LRH's operating margin has exceeded Moody's benchmark. Mr. Jones has led numerous modernization efforts, including the implementation of a Cerner-based RCM solution and the hospital's latest project: the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children. Prior to LRH, Mr. Jones served as vice president of finance at Wynnewood, Pa.-based Lankenau Hospital and CFO at Lehigh Valley, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network.

Jeff Jones. Executive Vice President and CFO of Cone Health (Greensboro, N.C.). Mr. Jones assumed the CFO role at Cone Health in February 2013 after serving as senior vice president of finance for eight Cleveland Clinic regional hospitals. While at Cleveland Clinic, Mr. Jones provided financial oversight to multiple hospitals with combined net revenue of more than $1.5 billion. He also led hospital finance and capital planning efforts. In his current role, Mr. Jones is responsible for financial oversight of Cone Health's network, which includes 12,000 employees across six hospitals, three ambulatory care centers and more than 100 physician practices.

Keith Kasper. Senior Vice President and CFO of University of Pennsylvania Health System (Philadelphia). Mr. Kasper first joined Penn Medicine in 2004 as associate vice president of financial operations and budget. In his current role as senior vice president and CFO, Mr. Kasper is responsible for the health system's capital and operating budget process. He previously served as CFO of Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. In 2010, the Philadelphia Business Journal named Mr. Kasper the CFO of the year in the large nonprofit category.

Adam Kempf. Senior Vice President and CFO of Norton Healthcare (Louisville, Ky.). Mr. Kempf has been with Norton Healthcare since 2001, assuming the role of CFO in 2017. Before joining Norton Healthcare, Mr. Kempf worked six years in public accounting. As CFO, Mr. Kempf is responsible for the health system's financial operations, including accounting systems and long-term financial planning. He is a certified public accountant and active member of the Kentucky chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

John Kerndl. Executive Vice President and CFO of Beaumont Health (Southfield, Mich.). Mr. Kerndl oversees the financial functions of Beaumont Health, an eight-hospital health system with more than 174 health centers and 38,000 employees. He is responsible for revenue cycle operations, accounts payable, treasury, budgeting, payroll and financial strategic planning. He also has experience in investor relations and supply chain. Prior to joining Beaumont in 2016, Mr. Kerndl was senior vice president and CFO of the largest division of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health, which includes 11 hospitals in four states.

Greg Klugherz. Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of CentraCare Health (St. Cloud, Minn.). Mr. Klugherz came to CentraCare in 2008. As CFO, he oversees finance and accounting services for the six-hospital health system. Before joining CentraCare, Mr. Klugherz was CFO for St. Paul-based Regions Hospital from 1997 through 2006. He now serves as chair of the Minnesota Hospital Association Finance Committee.

JoAnn Kunkel. CFO of Sanford Health (Sioux Falls, S.D.). As CFO, Ms. Kunkel is responsible for the accounting, revenue cycle and related financial operations for one of the nation's largest health systems. Sanford Health employs more than 28,000 people — including more than 1,300 physicians — and boasts 45 medical centers as well as 289 clinics. Ms. Kunkel joined the system in 1992 and held a number of executive leadership positions for 20 years before being promoted to CFO in 2012.

Kathy Lancaster. Executive Vice President and CFO of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Health Plan (Oakland, Calif.). Since 1998, Kathy Lancaster has held various strategy and finance positions at Kaiser Permanente, assuming the CFO role in 2005. As CFO, Ms. Lancaster oversees treasury, capital planning and pharmacy operations, among other duties. Throughout her career at Kaiser Permanente, Ms. Lancaster has partnered with employers, providers and health plan members on the delivery of care, new product development and health plan operations.

Dennis Laraway. CFO of Banner Health (Phoenix). Mr. Laraway stepped into the CFO role at Banner Health in 2017 after serving as executive vice president and CFO of Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System, where he oversaw a budget of more than $5 billion, beginning in 2011. Net income nearly doubled for Banner Health in 2017, a feat Mr. Laraway helped Banner accomplish when he took the reins of the system's finances in September of that year.

Brittany Lavis. CFO of Placentia (Calif.)-Linda Hospital. A rising star at one of the nation's largest for-profit health systems, Ms. Lavis is among the youngest CFOs in the Tenet Healthcare system, which spans 47 states. She oversees finances as well as other operations at Placentia-Linda Hospital, a member of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.

Ralph Lawson. Executive Vice President and CFO of Baptist Health South Florida (Coral Gables). Before taking the reins of Baptist Health South Florida's finances, Mr. Lawson worked for professional services firm Deloitte for 17 years, spending the last eight years of his tenure working in partnership with Baptist Health South Florida. As executive vice president and CFO of Baptist, Mr. Lawson is responsible for the finances of the largest nonprofit health system in South Florida, which spans 10 hospitals and employs more than 3,000 physicians. From June 2012 to June 2013, Mr. Lawson served as chair of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, which boasts more than 40,000 members and 68 chapters across the United States.

Kevin Lenahan. Senior Vice President and Chief Finance and Administrative Officer of Atlantic Health System (New Jersey). Mr. Lenahan came to Atlantic Health System in 1995 and took over as the system's chief financial leader in 2010. Under his leadership, Atlantic Health System became the first healthcare institution in New Jersey to receive an AA3 rating from Moody's. Mr. Lenahan also developed Atlantic Health System's first risk-based contract, implemented in 2015, and led the system in establishing the first ACO in New Jersey.

Darryl Linnington. Regional Director of Financial Planning and Analysis of McAlester (Okla.) Regional Health Center. Mr. Linnington has more than 20 years experience working with all types of healthcare providers in the U.S. and Canada and has implemented successful financial turnaround strategies at several healthcare organizations. His accomplishments include returning a physician-owned surgical specialty hospital in California to profitability and improving the cash flow of a new hospital in Arizona for Franklin, Tenn.-based IASIS Healthcare. As CFO at McAlester Regional Health Center, Mr. Linnington has achieved positive financial results and impressive investment grades.

Robert Lux. Vice President, Treasurer and CFO of Temple University Health System (Philadelphia). Mr. Lux served as assistant controller, controller, associate vice president and CFO of Philadelphia-based Temple University Hospital before becoming Temple University Health System's senior vice president and CFO in 1996. The $1.6 billion academic health system has entrusted him with financial reporting, budgeting, cash and debt management and investment management, among other responsibilities. Mr. Lux is treasurer of the Cradle of Liberty Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Ric Magnuson. Executive Vice President and CFO of Allina Health (Minneapolis). Mr. Magnuson spent 17 years in financial leadership roles with Allina Health before leaving the system in 2004 to become the CFO of Fletcher Allen HealthCare in Burlington, Vt. He served with several other organizations, including as CFO of the diabetes and cancer charity City of Hope, before returning to Allina as executive vice president and CFO. In his current role, he ensures the health system's resources are deployed appropriately.

Michelle Mahan. Senior Vice President and Regional CFO of Frederick (Md.) Regional Health System. As senior vice president and CFO of Frederick Regional Health System, Ms. Mahan oversees the financial department for the organization, which includes 2,700 employees and the 233-bed Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was instrumental in helping the hospital obtain Stage 7 of the HIMSS EMR Adoption Model in 2017, a feat the system's 122-bed nonprofit Union Hospital of Cecil County in Elkton, Md., also achieved. Prior to joining Frederick, Ms. Mahan served as CFO of the University of Maryland's St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md., and CFO of Children's National Medical Center in the District of Columbia.

Stacey Malakoff. Executive Vice President and Treasurer of Hospital for Special Surgery (New York City). When Hospital for Special Surgery embarked on a major expansion and modernization project in 1990, Ms. Malakoff was just beginning her tenure as the organization's reimbursement director. This year marks Ms. Malakoff's second decade as executive vice president and treasurer for HSS, which has continued growing with a nearly 99,000-square-foot sublease signed in the summer of 2017. A certified public accountant, Ms. Malakoff served as a manager in Ernst & Young's audit division before joining HSS.

Peter Markell. Executive Vice President of Administration and Finance, CFO and Treasurer of Partners HealthCare (Boston). Mr. Markell has spent nearly 20 years working at Partners and is responsible for finance, treasury, real estate, HR, information systems and research management areas for the $13.4 billion operation. He was appointed chairman of the Boston College Board of Trustees in October 2017 and was the 2017 recipient of Boston Business Journal's F. Gorham Brigham Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Markell previously held leadership positions at Ernst & Young, where he carried out the merger of Ernst & Whinney and Arthur Young in 1989.

Tim Maurice. CFO of University of California Davis Health System (Sacramento). Mr. Maurice is in charge of managing UC Davis Health's financial operations, annual budget and health system staff in multiple departments. He joined UC Davis in 2011 after serving as vice president and CFO at Oxnard, Calif.-based St. John's Regional Medical Center and Camarillo, Calif.-based St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital. Mr. Maurice has been CFO of numerous other healthcare organizations, including Good Samaritan Community Healthcare in Puyallup, Wash., and St. Joseph Mercy-Oakland in Oakland County, Mich.

Paul McDowell. CFO of Mission Health (Ashville, N.C.). Mr. McDowell was appointed CFO of Mission Health in January, and is responsible for mitigating the challenges presented by the $1.7 billion integrated health system's population and payer mix. Since joining Mission in 2013, Mr. McDowell has also served as vice president and deputy CFO. He previously oversaw 12 years of strong financial performance and directed notable cost reduction efforts for Ashland, Ky.-based King's Daughters Health System as senior vice president and CFO.

Patrick McGuire. Executive Vice President and CFO of St. John Providence Health System (Warren, Mich.). Mr. McGuire has served as CFO of the five-hospital St. John Providence Health System since 2004. As the financial leader of the Ascension Health-owned institution, his accomplishments include unifying the Ascension Health Michigan Ministries in negotiations for a new three-year agreement with Blue Cross of Michigan. Mr. McGuire was elected vice chairman of Southfield, Mich.-based Together Health Network's board of directors in December 2017.

Dan Moncher. Executive Vice President and CFO of Firelands Regional Medical Center (Sandusky, Ohio). Before joining Firelands Regional Medical Center in 1997, Mr. Moncher served as regional vice president and CFO of two Ohio hospitals under Cincinnati-based Mercy Health. He now manages all financial aspects of Firelands Regional Medical Center, which has more than 300 medical staff members and 400 registered beds. With 30 years of healthcare experience, he is in charge of the medical center's banking, investment, auditor, insurance, joint venture and actuarial relationships.

Sheri Montgomery. CFO of Delray Medical Center (Delray Beach, Fla.). Ms. Montgomery began her career at Delray Medical Center in accounting manager, campus controller and assistant CFO roles. She has served as CFO since 2014 and is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the 493-bed medical center. Ms. Montgomery has 20 years of financial healthcare expertise, previously serving as CFO of Coral Gables (Fla.) Hospital.

John Mordach. Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of Rush University Medical Center and Rush System (Chicago). Mr. Mordach joined Rush University Medical Center as senior vice president and CFO in 2011, assuming responsibility for all of the system's financial and control processes. After Rush refinanced about $490 million in debt to generate $7 million in average annual interest savings, he was named Chicago CFO of the Year, nonprofit large company, by Financial Executives International in 2015. Mr. Mordach previously held financial leadership posts at Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola University Health System, Naperville, Ill.-based Edward Health Services and University of Chicago Medical Center.

Daniel Morissette. Senior Executive Vice President and CFO of Dignity Health (San Francisco). Mr. Morissette has 25-plus years of experience in healthcare, consulting and international business development. He came to Dignity Health from Stanford Health Care in September 2016, where he served as CFO and helped establish Stanford's international presence in China, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates. Mr. Morissette has also held senior-level finance positions at the University of Toledo (Ohio), Medical University of Ohio in Toledo, the Chicago Medical School and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Kenneth Morris. Senior Vice President, Treasurer and CFO of Duke University Health System (Durham, N.C.). Kenneth Morris joined Duke University Health System in August 2000. In his current roles, he oversees all financial functions of the system, including accounting and financial reporting, cash and debt management, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle, payer relations and contracting, procurement, real estate and insurance. Before coming to Duke, Mr. Morris served as CFO of Mission Health in Asheville, N.C., and Loyola University Health System in Maywood, Ill. Before becoming CFO at Loyola, he was assistant vice president of finance there, and previously, assistant vice president for finance at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Theresa Mouton. CFO and Market CFO of Carondelet Health Network (Tucson, Ariz.). Ms. Mouton joined Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson in December 2015 and was promoted to CFO and market CFO, overseeing financial operations for Carondelet's three Tucson-based hospitals. She previously served as CFO for Wuesthoff Health System in Melbourne, Fla., now part of Boston-based Steward Health Care, as well as North Central Baptist Hospitals in San Antonio, Texas; North Shore Medical Center in Chicago; and Florida Medical Center in Lauderdale Lakes.

Dominic Nakis. CFO of Advocate Aurora Health (Milwaukee). Mr. Nakis oversees financial operations and strategy for the 27-hospital system Advocate Aurora Health, created by the merger of Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care and Milwaukee-based Aurora Health in April 2018. As of the merger's completion, Advocate Aurora Health is the 10th largest nonprofit system in the nation by number of care sites, with about $11 billion in annual revenue. Mr. Nakis has served Advocate since the system's inception in 1995. From 2006 to 2018, he was senior vice president, treasurer and CFO.

Kaley Neal. CFO of Shenandoah (Iowa) Medical Center. Ms. Neal joined Shenandoah Medical Center as financial controller in March 2016 before stepping up as CFO in July 2017. She previously held finance positions at Eaton, Yahoo and Gallup.

Susan Nelson. Executive Vice President and CFO of MedStar Health (Columbia, Md.). Ms. Nelson has over 25 years of experience in accounting, auditing and financial management. She joined MedStar Health in 2005 as vice president of financial operations and has held progressively senior-level positions within its finance department. In addition to her role at MedStar, Ms. Nelson serves on the finance committee for Maryland's health information exchange, Chesapeake Regional Information System for our Patients, and the board for the Greater Chesapeake Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

John Orsini. Senior Vice President and CFO of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare (Chicago). Mr. Orsini has 30-plus years of experience in healthcare finance management and has held senior-level positions at various multihospital systems including Cadence Health, now part of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Chicago-based Presence Health, San Diego-based Scripps Health and San Francisco-based Dignity Health. During his tenure at Presence, Mr. Orsini made significant contributions to the organizations' financial strength, including the detailed financial work for the merger of Resurrection Health Care and Provena Health, which created Presence in 2011.

Eric Peburn. Executive Vice President and CFO of Halifax Health (Daytona Beach, Fla.). Mr. Peburn joined Halifax Health in 1996 as corporate controller and became director of finance in September 2003. He was later promoted to assistant administrator in October 2005 and CFO in November 2007. Before joining Halifax, Mr. Peburn was an auditor for Ernst &Y. In addition to his current role at Halifax, he serves as chairman of the executive committee and board of directors for the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Blaine Petersen. Regional CFO of Loyola Medicine and Mercy Hospital & Medical Center (Maywood, Ill.). A financial healthcare executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience, Mr. Petersen serves as regional CFO of Loyola Medicine and Mercy Hospital & Medical Center. Before joining Loyola in 2016, Mr. Petersen was CFO of St. Alphonsus Health System in Idaho, a four-hospital network. During his career, Mr. Petersen has held senior-level finance positions at Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and Denver-based Rocky Mountain Health Care, and served as a consultant for Albuquerque, N.M.-based Presbyterian Health System and Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System.

Alice Pope. Senior Vice President and CFO of HonorHealth (Scottsdale, Ariz.). Ms. Pope has 20-plus years in healthcare financial management. She joined HonorHealth in April 2016 as senior vice president and CFO. Prior to HonorHealth, Ms. Pope served as CFO for Kingsport, Tenn.-based Wellmont Health System, now Ballad Health. Her professional memberships include the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Health Management Academy, Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business Dean's Council, and a board member for the Arizona Society of CPAs.

Jim Porter. CFO of St. Bernard Hospital (Chicago). Mr. Porter has served as CFO at St. Bernard since 2015, where he is responsible for all financial functions and departments including accounting, payroll and materials management. He previously served as the regional CFO for the Lakeshore Region of Chicago-based Presence Health and the CFO of Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago. Mr. Porter is a board member and committee leader for the Healthcare Financial Management Association and received his bachelor's degree from Rock Island, Ill.-based Augustana College.

Scott Posecai. Executive Vice President and CFO of Ochsner Health System (New Orleans). Ms. Posecai joined the Jefferson, La.-based Ochsner Clinic in 1987, rising to the role of CFO by 1995. When the Ochsner Clinic merged with Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation he became CFO of the Ochsner Clinic Foundation and became CFO of the Ochsner Health System in 2006. Mr. Posecai earned his bachelor's degree from the University of New Orleans and was named Alumnus of the Year for 2004 by the university's College of Business. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Connie Prewitt. CFO of Billings (Mont.) Clinic. Ms. Prewitt has over 18 years of experience providing strategic vision, project management and personnel management in both physician multispecialty groups and hospital organizations. As CFO, she is responsible for the financial management of Billings Clinic, which includes a 304-bed hospital, and she manages 11 critical access hospitals in Montana and Wyoming. Her role includes overseeing finance, payer relations and supply chain operations.

Edward Prunchunas. Executive Vice President of Finance and CFO of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles). Mr. Punchunas served as assistant director of finance at Cedars-Sinai before leaving to become CFO of Northridge (Calif.) Medical Center. He returned to Cedars-Sinai in 1993 as vice president of finance and was promoted to CFO in 1998. Mr. Prunchunas is a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and previously served as president of the HFMA Southern California Chapter.

William Pugh. Senior Vice President and CFO of PinnacleHealth System (Harrisburg, Pa.). Mr. Pugh has nearly 40 years of leadership experience in healthcare finance, with expertise in fields such as mergers and acquisitions, growth strategies and alternative payment models. He joined PinnacleHealth System as senior vice president and CFO in 2007, after serving as executive vice president of Frederick (Md.) Memorial Healthcare System for a decade.

Michael Reney. Senior Vice President for Finance and CFO of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston). Mr. Reney began his career in healthcare at Boston-based Brigham and Women's Hospital before becoming assistant controller at Massachusetts General Hospital and holding several positions within Partners Healthcare, both in Boston. In 2000, he returned to BWH as controller and executive director of finance, and was named senior vice president for finance and CFO for Brigham and Women's Health Care in 2008. He joined Dana-Farber in 2015.

Mark Rich. CFO of Steward (Boston). Mr. Rich was CFO of Boston-based Caritas Christi Health Care when it was acquired by private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management in 2010 and established as Steward Health Care System. He then became Steward's executive vice president for corporate strategy, leading acquisitions as the system doubled its size during its first 18 months. Mr. Rich now serves as CFO of Steward, a physician-led, for-profit hospital operator of 38 community hospitals.

Craig Richmond. Executive Vice President and CFO of The MetroHealth System (Cleveland). Mr. Richmond joined MetroHealth in 2010 as vice president of revenue cycle. He rose to associate CFO in 2013 and senior vice president and CFO in 2014 before becoming executive vice president and CFO. He is responsible for the systemwide leadership and strategic direction of the organization’s financial operations, including a $10 million implementation of Epic's revenue cycle suite.

Dan Rieber. CFO of UCHealth (Aurora, Colo.). Mr. Rieber joined UCHealth in 2007 as director of finance and controller at Aurora-based University of Colorado Hospital before becoming CFO of Colorado Springs-based UCHealth Memorial in 2014, overseeing finances for Memorial Hospital Central and Memorial Hospital North, both in Colorado Springs. In 2018, he became CFO of UCHealth, where he oversees many financial innovation initiatives.

Chuck Robb. Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and CFO of St. Luke's Health System (Kansas City, Mo.). Mr. Robb joined St. Luke's Health System in 1991 as CFO of St. Luke's Hospital, the 382-bed flagship facility of the health system. He was promoted to CFO of St. Luke's Health System in 1999. Before joining St. Luke's, Mr. Robb worked at Ernst & Young for nearly 13 years.

Kevin Roberts. Executive Vice President and CFO of Geisinger (Danville, Pa.). Mr. Roberts is new to Geisinger, a physician-led system with approximately 30,000 employees, 13 hospital campuses and two research centers. When he became CFO in April, he brought with him more than three decades of professional experience. Prior to joining Geisinger, he was senior vice president and CFO of St. Louis-based BJC HealthCare. Mr. Roberts also has held finance management positions at Cleveland Clinic and Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Ill.

Richard Rothberger. Corporate Executive Vice President and CFO of Scripps (San Diego). Mr. Rothberger served as senior vice president and CFO of Mercy Health Sacramento before joining Scripps, a $2.9 billion health system with four hospitals on five campuses and more than 28 outpatient centers and clinics. As Scripps' CFO, Mr. Rothberger spearheaded a $120 million financial turnaround, helping Scripps to build its balance sheet by more than $2 million. He advises the Scripps Health Board of Trustees and senior management on all financial matters.

William Rutherford. Executive Vice President and CFO of HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.). Mr. Rutherford is responsible for HCA's treasury department, office of the controller, information technology, government programs and Parallon. He joined HCA in 1986 as a staff auditor, rising through the ranks and holding several leadership positions, such as director of operations support and CFO for the Georgia division, before being promoted to his current role. Mr. Rutherford briefly left HCA from 2005 to 2008 to start his own training and education company, and served as COO of Psychiatric Solutions from 2006 to 2007.

Randolph Safady. Executive Vice President and CFO of Christus Health (Irving, Texas). Mr. Safady served as executive vice president and CFO of Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health before joining Christus Health in 2011. He oversees financial operations for the nonprofit Catholic health system, which includes about 600 care facilities and 15,000 physicians. At Centura, Mr. Safady repositioned the health system’s financial operations and piloted a conversion to Meditech platforms.

Cheryl Sadro. Executive Vice President and Chief Business and Finance Officer of The University of Texas Medical Branch (Galveston). Ms. Sadro joined the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in October 2014 as executive vice president and chief business and finance officer after serving as senior vice president for finance and market CFO of Catholic Health Initiatives' Memorial Health Care System in Chattanooga, Tenn. She also has experience in leadership positions with Ascension Health's Washington, D.C.-based Providence Hospital and Waco, Texas-based Providence Healthcare Network. In her current role, Ms. Sadro is responsible for finance, facility and business operations, human resources, revenue cycle, and information services of UTMB Health.

Donald Scanlon. Chief of Corporate Services and CFO of Mount Sinai Health System (New York City). Mr. Scanlon joined Mount Sinai Health System in 2003, when the Mount Sinai Hospital and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine were losing almost $150 million combined annually. He oversaw a turnaround leading to positive net income at both institutions by 2005 that continues today. Mr. Scanlon manages the financial support for Mount Sinai’s strategic plan as well as the finance and audit committees of the Mount Sinai Boards of Trustees.

Lance Sewell. CFO of South Lake Hospital (Clermont, Fla.). Mr. Sewell has served as CFO of South Lake Hospital, part of the nonprofit health system Orlando (Fla.) Health, which includes 3,300 beds systemwide. Mr. Sewell also serves on the board of the Community Foundation of South Lake, which was formed through the affiliation of South Lake Memorial Hospital and Orlando Health.

Henry Seybold. Senior Vice President and CFO of North Kansas City (Mo.) Hospital. Mr. Seybold joined North Kansas City Hospital in 2018 and is responsible for all areas of financial planning, management and reporting, revenue cycle and supply chain management. He serves as a member of the hospital's investment committee, which oversees the hospital’s general investments and employee retirement plan.

Roger Sharma. Executive Vice President and CFO of Citrus Valley Health Partners (Covina, Calif.). Prior to joining Citrus Valley Health Partners, Mr. Sharma served as senior vice president of financial operations at Duarte, Calif.-based cancer center City of Hope. In his current role, Mr. Sharma oversees financial operations for the health system, which includes about 1,000 physicians and three hospital campuses.

Richard Silveria. CFO of University of Chicago Medicine. Mr. Silveria joined the University of Chicago Medicine in 2017, where he oversees finances and the community health and hospitals division. He previously served as the senior vice president of finance and system CFO of Boston Medical Center, where he helped guide the $2.9 billion health system from a projected loss in fiscal year 2010 to an operating gain in fiscal year 2013.

Daniel Smith. Vice President of Finance and CFO of The Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore). Mr. Smith serves as the senior vice president of finance for The Johns Hopkins Health System as well as vice president of Finance and CFO of The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He oversees financial operations for the hospital, which includes 33 operating rooms and 355 private inpatient rooms dedicated to adult care. He previously served as the senior director of finance at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and CFO, president and CEO of Johns Hopkins Home Care Group.

Shannon Sock. Executive Vice President of Strategy and CFO of Mercy Health (St. Louis). Mr. Sock joined Mercy in 1999 and has since committed to several internal leadership opportunities, including major clinical transformation efforts such as Mercy's supply chain company ROi, Mercy SafeWatch virtual care and EHRs. As the CFO of Mercy Health, he directs business development and strategic planning across a system of 40 acute care and specialty hospitals serving millions of patients annually. Mr. Sock worked at CSC Healthcare, a consulting company, before joining Mercy.

Eddie Soler. Executive Vice President of Finance for Adventist Health System (Altamonte Springs, Fla.). As executive vice president of finance at Adventist Health System, Mr. Soler supervises the financial operations for the 46-hospital nonprofit health system. He is the executive sponsor for the system's i-Synergy project, a systemwide overhaul of business and financial processes Adventist launched in 2011 to standardize and digitize functions. During his more than 30-year tenure with Adventist, Mr. Soler spent time as CFO of the system's 23-hospital Florida Hospital branch in Orlando, among several other posts.

Anthony "Tony" Speranzo. Executive Vice President and CFO of Ascension (St. Louis). Mr. Speranzo champions all financial aspects of Ascension and its multiple subsidiaries, including treasury functions, debt management, investments and mergers and acquisitions. Under Mr. Speranzo's leadership, the system grew to 153 hospitals and 22,600 sites, and expanded its workforce to about 165,000 associates and 40,000 aligned providers across 22 states and the District of Columbia. Before joining the Ascension team in 2002, Mr. Speranzo was managing director at asset management firm U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray.

Bernadette Spong. CFO of Orlando (Fla.) Health. During Ms. Spong's tenure as CFO of Orlando Health, the nine-hospital system completed a record-breaking $475 million bond transaction in 2018, the biggest in the system's history. Orlando Health also posted its highest operating margins and financial metrics under Ms. Spong's leadership. In addition to her financial duties, Ms. Spong teaches healthcare finance classes for nurse leaders and other frontline staff. She recently helped Orlando Health's value team complete a health maintenance organization transaction with Disney and Orlando-based Florida Hospital, which manages the health of 175,000-plus Disney cast members.

Paul Staton. Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of UCLA Health (Los Angeles). Mr. Staton brings nearly three decades of healthcare finance expertise to his role as CFO and senior vice president of finance at UCLA Health. During the last four years, he chaired an executive steering committee responsible for standardizing UCLA Health's revenue cycle processes across five academic medical centers. The initiative jumpstarted a $400 million increase in revenue for the five medical centers during the four-year period.

J. Dean Swindle. President of Enterprise Business Lines and CFO of Catholic Health Initiatives (Englewood, Colo.). Mr. Swindle has been CFO of Catholic Health Initiatives and managed the 100-hospital system's revenue cycle, payer strategy and operations since 2010. Before CHI, Mr. Swindle spent 11 years with Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health System, where he served as senior vice president of finance, executive vice president and CFO and president of ambulatory services. Under Mr. Swindle's leadership, Novant's annual revenues ballooned from $800 million to $3.5 billion.

J. Britton Tabor. Senior Vice President and CFO of Erlanger Health System (Chattanooga, Tenn.). Mr. Tabor launched his career at Erlanger Health System 31 years ago and now is the executive vice president and CFO for the five-hospital system. Mr. Tabor also teaches at the undergraduate and master levels as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Chattanooga (Tenn.) State Community College and the College of Saint Francis. He has served on healthcare and scholarship committees of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the healthcare conference committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Vincent Tammaro. Executive Vice President of Financial and Corporate Services and CFO of Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health. Mr. Tammaro became executive vice president of financial and corporate services and CFO of Yale New Haven Health in 2016. His tenure at Yale New Haven Health began in 2002 as director of financial reporting, and he was promoted to senior vice president of corporate finance in 2012. He has conducted the integration of financial leadership with operations at Yale New Haven Health, and was a key player in the system's 2012 acquisition of New Haven-based Hospital of Saint Raphael.

Jeff Taylor. Senior Vice President and CFO of St. Luke's Health System (Boise, Idaho). Since 2008, Mr. Taylor has served as senior vice president and CFO of St. Luke's Health System. He joined the system in 1994 as the director of finance and became vice president of finance and CFO of St. Luke's Treasure Valley in Boise. Today, Mr. Taylor oversees the system's $300 million Next Generation ACO contract, which took effect in January 2017 and covers roughly 30,000 Medicare patients.

Karen Testman, RN. CFO of MemorialCare (Fountain Valley, Calif.). Ms. Testman has more than 20 years of leadership experience. Prior to becoming CFO of MemorialCare in 2013, she was senior vice president of financial operations for the five-hospital health system. She originally joined MemorialCare in 1998 as CFO of the system's Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley, Calif., and Laguna Hills, Calif.-based Saddleback Medical Center. Throughout her time at MemorialCare, Ms. Testman has advanced the health system's ambulatory growth and joint venture strategy.

Thomas Todorow. Executive Vice President and CFO of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Mr. Todorow became executive vice president for corporate services and the CFO at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 2001. In 2016, he joined the Philadelphia-based University City Science Center's board of directors, which oversees the business incubator's operations. Prior to CHOP, Mr. Todorow was vice president of finance and CFO of Wellesley, Mass.-based Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and spent time as a vice president in JPMorgan's healthcare investment banking group where he was involved in several healthcare start-up ventures.

Michael Tretina. Senior Vice President and CFO of Bayhealth (Dover, Del.). Prior to assuming his role as CFO of Bayhealth in 2013, Mr. Tretina was vice president and CFO of Ames, Iowa-based Mary Greeley Medical Center and senior vice president of finance for St. Vincent's HealthCare in Jacksonville, Fla. Since Mr. Tretina joined as CFO, Bayhealth, a two-hospital system, has seen a bond rating upgrade and maintained cash flows and operating margins above industry medians. The CFO has also chaired Bayhealth's Finance Accountability team, renegotiated contracts and taken various steps to boost care quality and patient satisfaction.

Doug Vanderslice. Senior Vice President and CFO of Boston Children's Hospital. Since joining Boston Children's in 2013, Mr. Vanderslice has been responsible for the 404-bed hospital's financial operations, budget, financial planning, debt/capital management, managed care contracting and revenue cycle. Mr. Vanderslice previously spent nine years as vice president and CFO of St. Louis Children's Hospital after serving as controller and director of patient financial services at Children's Medical Center of Dallas for 12 years.

Jeff Wakefield. CFO of Marion (Ind.) General Hospital. Mr. Wakefield has experience in capital planning, cost reporting, contract management and revenue cycle for healthcare organizations. He has worked for both for-profit and nonprofit hospitals, including in his current role as CFO of Marion General Hospital, a nonprofit hospital that was named among the top 100 rural and community hospitals in the U.S. by iVantage Health Analytics and The Chartis Center for Rural Health in 2018.

Douglas Watson. CFO of Dignity Health Arizona (Phoenix). As CFO of Dignity Health's Arizona service area, Mr. Watson oversees the health system's financial goals and budgeting process. He is also responsible for helping the system grow services and partnerships. Prior to joining Dignity in May 2017, Mr. Watson was CFO of PeaceHealth Medical Group, the ambulatory services division of Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth. He also spent several years as COO of PeaceHealth, where he unified group culture and strategy.

Charles "Chuck" Weis. Executive Vice President and CFO of Sinai Health System (Chicago). Mr. Weis has been a part of the four-hospital Sinai Health System for more than three decades. Outside of his role as Sinai's CFO, Mr. Weis is an adjunct faculty member in the University of Illinois-Chicago School of Public Health's hospital administration program. He also serves as a member of the Illinois Hospital Association Policy Council.

Gary Weiss. CFO and Treasurer of NorthShore University HealthSystem (Evanston, Ill.). Mr. Weiss joined NorthShore University HealthSystem in 2001, officially taking over as the four-hospital health system's CFO in 2007. Prior to launching his career at NorthShore, Mr. Weiss spent more than 20 years at The First National Bank of Chicago and its affiliate organizations, where he served as CFO and chief accounting officer of the commercial banking business line.

Ken Wheat. Senior Vice President and CFO of Eisenhower Medical Center (Rancho Mirage, Calif.). Before joining the 463-bed nonprofit Eisenhower Medical Center in 2013, Mr. Wheat was vice president of operations and finance for Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare's Texas region. He also served as CFO of Palm Springs, Calif.-based Desert Regional Medical Center. Now, Mr. Wheat serves on the board of directors for the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce.

John Widdel. CFO of Managed Care for Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). Since assuming his role as CFO of managed care for the 68-hospital Tenet Healthcare in 2013, Mr. Widdel has led a finance team responsible for budgeting and managing $10 billion in annual net revenue flowing through the health system's health plan contracts. The CFO has nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare, having held several hospital financial leadership positions and serving on Tenet's managed care finance team since 2001.

Vinson Yates. Senior Vice President and CFO of OhioHealth (Columbus). With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare finance, Mr. Yates is responsible for treasury, finance, revenue cycle, real estate and construction and supply chain services at the 11-hospital system. From 2010 to 2013, Mr. Yates served as president of Columbus-based Grant Medical Center. Beyond his role with OhioHealth, Mr. Yates serves on the boards of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, LifeCare Alliance and Columbus Speech & Hearing Center.

Laura Zehm. Vice President and CFO of Community Hospital of the Monterey (Calif.) Peninsula. Ms. Zehm, who launched her professional career working for Blue Cross of Chicago, joined Community Hospital of Monterey in 1982 and now has more than 30 years of healthcare and financial experience. In her role at the 258-bed community hospital, Ms. Zehm has led the development of two insurance products: Central Coast Community Mutual Insurance Co. and Aspire Health Plan, a Medicare Advantage plan. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Kris Zimmer. CFO of SSM Health (St. Louis). Bringing 32 years of experience in senior-level healthcare management and four years of healthcare consulting experience, Mr. Zimmer oversees financial services and operational finance across SSM Health's 24-hospital, four-state health network. As CFO, Mr. Zimmer works to establish SSM Health's strategic direction, including hospital reinvestment and clinical infrastructure development. He developed Patient Business Services, a 1,300-employee shared service that increased cash flow and reduced regulatory exposure. He also helped lead several SSM Health acquisitions.

Bert Zimmerli. Executive Vice President and CFO of Intermountain Healthcare (Salt Lake City). Mr. Zimmerli joined Intermountain Healthcare in 2003, where he oversees the 22-hospital system's insurance/health plans operations, SelectHealth, and its information systems operations. Before joining Intermountain, Mr. Zimmerli served in several healthcare leadership positions, including executive vice president and CFO of the Methodist Hospital system in Houston and senior vice president and CFO of Houston-based Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. Mr. Zimmerli also is a fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
