Powell Valley Healthcare in Wyoming Settles Suit Against Management Company

Powell (Wyo.) Valley Healthcare has settled its lawsuit against a management company over former hospital CEO Paul Cardwell, who was charged with bilking $848,000 from the system, according to an Associated Press/Billings Gazette report.

The amount of the settlement with HealthTech Management Services was not disclosed, according to the report. Mr. Cardwell was on the payroll for HealthTech, which managed the hospital.

Mr. Cardwell was indicted for fraud and conspiracy, and has been considered a fugitive since August, when he disappeared.
