A 37-year-old man was arrested Friday after police say he attacked a phlebotomist at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, according to WOWT.

Authorities say Zacherey Dvorak became angry when a phlebotomist tried to take blood from him Friday morning and used a makeshift weapon to stab her in the face. A hospital spokesperson said Mr. Dvorak made the sharp weapon from "ordinary items found in his room," according to KETV.

The hospital employee required stitches for the laceration on her face, according to WOWT.

Mr. Dvorak was arrested and charged with assault of a healthcare professional and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
