A Taunton, Mass.-based mental health provider and two of its former owners have agreed to pay $940,000 to settle allegations they submitted fraudulent claims to the state's Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program.
The settlement resolves allegations that Northeast Health Services submitted fraudulent claims to MassHealth by failing to ensure that certain clinicians received appropriate supervision from a licensed clinician, according to a Feb. 13 news release from the Massachusetts attorney general's office.
