The board chairman of Cascade Valley Hospital and Clinics in Arlington, Wash., has had several run-ins with the law over the past few weeks.
Timothy H. Cavanagh, the elected chairman of the hospital's board, was charged in January with stalking an ex-girlfriend who works at Cascade Valley, according to The Herald.
Police found Mr. Cavanagh hiding in the bushes outside of the woman's home after she reported an attempted break-in at her home Jan. 8. The woman called 911 reporting she had seen a man's arm reaching through her bathroom window, according to a police report obtained by The Herald. When police arrived at the scene, they found Mr. Cavanagh in the bushes dressed in all black and wearing a ski mask. He was charged with domestic-violence burglary, domestic-violence stalking and car prowling.
Mr. Cavanagh had another brush with the law Jan. 20 when he was arrested for allegedly violating a no-contact order that forbade him from contacting his ex-girlfriend. His ex-girlfriend allegedly saw him on the grounds of Cascade Valley while she was at work.
Just one week later, Mr. Cavanagh was arrested again for allegedly driving his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene after he struck unoccupied car, according to the report.
Mr. Cavanagh was elected to the board of Cascade Valley Hospital and Clinics in 2001. He is the owner and chief veterinarian of All Creatures Veterinary Service in Arlington.
