Labcorp: 9 things to know headed into 2022

Burlington, N.C.-based Labcorp had a strong 2021. Here are nine developments to know from the last 12 months:

  1. Labcorp was named to Fortune's 2021 list of the "World's Most Admired Companies."
  2. Fast Company released its 2021 list of "The Most Innovative Health Companies," with Labcorp landing at No. 9.
  3. Labcorp was called out in a new report that highlights the 100 S&P 500 companies with the lowest median worker wages in 2020.
  4. San Diego-based Scripps Health partnered with Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp to help provide laboratory services until its systems were restored following a cyberattack.
  5. UnitedHealthcare named Labcorp to its 2021 preferred lab network.
  6. Labcorp announced that it acquired Ovia Health, a popular digital pregnancy and parenting platform based in Boston. Neither company disclosed details of the deal.
  7. Labcorp began offering Medicare Advantage-qualifying members of Philadelphia-based Independence Blue Cross home collection kits to manage diabetes and screen for colon cancer and kidney disease in those with diabetes.
  8. Labcorp was named to Forbes' 2021 list of the 750 best employers in the world. The company came in at No. 486.
  9. Labcorp said it is now using Amazon Connect to streamline its call center services.
