Levee Medical raises $6.6M for prostate surgery device

Levee Medical, a medical device manufacturing company for post-prostate cancer surgeries,  has raised $6.6 million in series A financing. 

Levee Medical's main product, the Voro urologic scaffold, is designed to treat prostatectomy urinary incontinence. The latest funding will be used to advance product development for the Voro urologic scaffold, according to the Aug. 23 Levee Medical news release.

The Voro urologic scaffold, which is placed during prostatectomy surgery, is the first bioresorbable device used to treat prostatectomy urinary incontinence, according to the news release.
