Founder of Stanford's digital health center tapped for role at biosensor company

Mintu Turakhia, MD, has been named the new chief medical officer and chief science officer at digital health company iRhythm.

Dr. Turakhia was one of the co-founders of Stanford's digital health center and serves as its director while also holding a position as a professor at Stanford University's School of Medicine and a clinical position as chief of cardiac electrophysiology at VA Palo Alto Health Care System, according to the April 28 press release. In his role at iRhythm he will lead research, enhance the portfolio of clinical products and support the executive team. 

iRhythm is a digital healthcare company that uses biosensor devices and cloud-based analytics and machine learning algorithms to diagnose cardiac arrhythmias.
