Brigham, Harvard shared innovation lab launches Clinton Global Initiative

Ariadne Labs, a joint innovation lab at Boston-based Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, has launched a Clinton Global Initiative called "Trusted, Equitable, Open Access Humanitarian Health Education."

Former President Bill Clinton announced the initiatives at the CGI meeting in September. As part of the initiative, Ariadne Labs will produce 45 educational videos about public health in conflict situations and humanitarian crises.

The innovation lab is partnering with the United Nations Commision on Human Rights, U.N. Refugee Agency, International Medical Corps and the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative in the project, according to a Nov. 16 Ariadne Labs news release.

"Training has always been at the heart of our humanitarian work, which is why we are excited about our collaboration with Ariadne Labs," International Medical Corps Chief Advancement Officer Rebecca Milner said. "Just as in-person training and training-of-trainers extends the reach of the medical and other services we provide, video training will make this knowledge more accessible to more people, helping them to become more resilient and better able to recover from emergencies."
