Nurses at Pittsfield, Mass.-based Berkshire Medical Center will picket on Wednesday prior to the next negotiation session with management.
The nurses are picketing for "a fair contract that protects safe patient care and respects nurses," according to the Massachusetts Nurses Association, which represents nearly 800 BMC nurses.
The informational picket is scheduled for 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday outside the main entrance of Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. A patient safety vigil is also planned for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 13 outside BMC.
Both sides have been in contract negotiations since September 2016, and nearly 800 BMC nurses went on strike last month. The next negotiation session, scheduled for Nov. 14, will mark the first negotiation session since the strike.
