Hospitalists and palliative care physicians from Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, represented by the Pacific Northwest Hospital Medicine Association, have reached a tentative agreement with Providence Oregon, according to Feb. 5 news releases shared with Becker's.

Providence has reached tentative agreements with the Oregon Nurses Association covering the eight registered nurse bargaining units currently on strike, according to Feb. 4 news releases shared with Becker's from the union and health system. 

Registered nurses at Ascension St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore have voted to retain the National Nurses Organizing Committee, an affiliate of National Nurses United, as their labor representative, according to a Feb. 3 union news release.

Providence Women's Clinic in Portland, Ore., and two units represented by the Oregon Nurses Association — registered nurses and physicians/providers — have reached a tentative agreement, according to respective Feb. 2 news releases from the union and Providence Medical Group.

Members of the National Nurses Organizing Committee, an affiliate of National Nurses United, have called a second strike amid contract negotiations — a two-day walkout beginning Feb. 5 at University Medical Center in New Orleans.

Resident physicians, interns and fellows employed by Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston have voted to join the Committee of Interns and Residents, which is affiliated with the Service Employees International Union.
