Shuttered Tennessee hospital sells for $200K

Ayla Ellison -

A physician assistant has purchased Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, Tenn., which closed March 1, according to Nashville Public Radio.

It will likely take several months to receive the licensure from state and federal agencies to reopen the facility as a full-service hospital. The buyer, Johnny Presley, plans to initially operate an outpatient clinic at the facility.

Mr. Presley, who already operates a few clinics, formed Rural Hospitals & Clinics of America to buy Cumberland River Hospital. He paid $200,000 for the hospital, which sold for more than $6 million in 2012.
