Fremont Health considers Nebraska Medicine, RCCH & Nebraska Methodist for partnership opportunity

Senior leaders at Fremont (Neb.) Health said during a meeting Monday evening the health system will continue exploring strategic partnership opportunities with several large-scale health systems to improve the health and wellness of residents in the community, according to the Fremont Tribune.

During the meeting, the health system's board of trustees instructed Fremont's leadership to continue familiarizing themselves with three organizations to determine if they could be a cultural and operational fit for Fremont.

The three systems include Nebraska Medicine, Nebraska Methodist Health System — both in Omaha, Neb. — and Brentwood, Tenn.-based RCCH Healthcare Partners.

Fremont Health President and CEO Pat Booth said officials made the decision to pursue a strategic partnership this summer following a comprehensive strategic and financial planning process, the report states. Leaders shared the decision with employees and medical staff in early July.

However, officials said if none of the three health systems' goals align with Fremont's, the health system may forgo partnering with another institution.
