LifePoint, LHC Group expand joint venture

Alia Paavola -

A joint venture between Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health and LHC Group, a home healthcare provider in Lafayette, La., is expanding to three more states, the two organizations announced Nov. 5.

LifePoint and LHC Group bought a home health provider in Ohio and two hospice providers in Arizona and Idaho.

When the sale is finalized, the organizations will jointly own CMH Home Health Care in Wilmington, Ohio, Casa de la Paz Hospice in Sierra Vista, Ariz., and St. Joseph Family Hospice in Lewiston, Idaho.

LHC Group will assume management responsibility and oversee day-to-day operations of the facilities.

The sale is expected to close Dec. 1.

LHC Group and LifePoint partnered in 2017 to share ownership of LifePoint's home health agencies. The partnership has grown to include 46 home health and hospice locations in eight states.

"As our partnership with LHC Group continues to grow, it is energizing to know that we are helping strengthen home health and hospice services in even more communities and further enhancing the support we offer patients and their families," said David Dill, president and CEO of LifePoint. "We look forward to continuing to work with LHC Group to ensure access to high quality services for those we serve."
