The deal closed less than three months after the parties entered into a definitive agreement. The $176 million transaction includes the following hospitals: 82-bed Chester Regional Medical Center; 225-bed Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster; 396-bed Carolinas Hospital System in Florence; and 124-bed Carolinas Hospital System-Marion in Mullins.
The four South Carolina hospitals are among several facilities with combined revenue of $2 billion that CHS intends to sell.
