California's Delano Regional Medical Center to join Adventist Health

Delano (Calif.) Regional Medical Center has signed an agreement to join Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, though the deal still requires approval from the FTC and the California attorney general.

The approval process is expected to take three to four months. Adventist said it does not anticipate any major changes to employee population or management structure.

"After careful review, Delano selected Adventist Health because its commitment to agricultural communities and its approach to providing care best aligned with Delano’s mission and direction," said Bahram Ghaffari, hospital president.

Editor's note: This article was updated Jan. 15 at 10:30 a.m. to clarify that the agreement involves Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, not Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System.
