The following healthcare mergers, acquisitions, partnerships and general transactions took place or were announced during the past week.

1. Petaluma Valley Hospital transition delayed 'a year or more' after complications in EMR transfer
Petaluma (Calif.) Valley Hospital's transition to a new hospital operator may be delayed at least one year or longer due to complications with the hospital's EMR system.

2. Henry Ford Allegiance Health severs 23-year cancer partnership with Michigan Medicine
Jackson, Mich.-based Henry Ford Allegiance Health's cancer program severed its 23-year affiliation with Ann Arbor-based Michigan Medicine and struck a deal to join Detroit-based Henry Ford Cancer Institute Aug. 17.

3. Teton Valley Health Care, Intermountain Healthcare partner to provide oncology services in Idaho
Driggs, Idaho-based Teton Valley Health Care partnered with Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare to provide select oncology care at Teton Valley Hospital in Driggs.

4. Medica to acquire Mayo Clinic's health services administration division
Minneapolis-based Medica, a health insurer, will acquire Mayo Clinic Health Solutions, a division of Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic.

5. Northside Hospital, Gwinnett Health System submit merger proposal to Georgia AG
Atlanta-based Northside Hospital and Lawrenceville, Ga.-based Gwinnett Health System submitted their merger proposal to the State of Georgia Office of the Attorney General for review Aug. 17.

6. Baptist Health in talks to purchase Kentucky health system
Elizabethtown, Ky.-based Hardin Memorial Health's board of trustees agreed to sign a letter of intent to consolidate with Baptist Health, a nine-hospital system in Louisville, Ky., Aug. 15.

7. Bankruptcy judge tentatively approves North Philadelphia Health System's $10.3M property sale
A U.S. bankruptcy judge tentatively approved the sale of several properties belonging to North Philadelphia Health System for $10.25 million Aug. 15.

8. Nemours, West Florida Healthcare partner on pediatric care wing
Pensacola-based West Florida Hospital, part of Pensacola-based West Florida Healthcare, will undergo a $7 million to $10 million expansion to open a pediatric care wing as a result of West Florida Healthcare's partnership with Jacksonville, Fla.-based Nemours Children's Specialty Care.

9. Gundersen Health System acquires Wisconsin hospital
Gundersen Health System, a four-hospital system in La Crosse, Wis., acquired Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Friendship, Wis., Aug. 14.

10. Northwell Health adds 350-member visiting nurse association to home care network
The New York State Department of Health approved an agreement allowing Tarrytown, N.Y.-based Visiting Nurse Association of Hudson Valley to join New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health's home care network.

11. Missouri Baptist, Select Medical team up to form 'hospital within a hospital'
St. Louis-based Missouri Baptist Medical Center and Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based Select Medical teamed up to open a 38-bed long-term acute care hospital within the medical center.

12. Walgreens collaborates with Johns Hopkins, UChicago Medicine to share research
Deerfield, Ill.-based Walgreens launched its Center for Health & Wellbeing Research, a website featuring more than 50 research studies conducted in tandem with institutions like Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine and the University of Chicago Medicine during the past six years.

13. Nonprofit OU Medicine to take over management of University of Oklahoma hospitals from HCA
Oklahoma City-based OU Medicine will assume management and ownership of all hospitals affiliated with the university this fall.

14. United Hospital System, Froedtert formalize affiliation
Kenosha, Wis.-based United Hospital System formalized its affiliation with Milwaukee-based Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin July 31.

15. SoutheastHEALTH, Washington University in St. Louis ink pathology partnership
Cape Girardeau, Mo.-based SoutheastHEALTH partnered with the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis' pathology and immunology department
