Patients witness gunmen shoot, rob physician

Patients witnessed a physician get shot during an armed robbery Tuesday evening at Orlando-based Florida Primary Care, according to local news reports.

Two men wearing masks entered the practice at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money from Ashok Khanna, MD, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Dr. Khanna is an internal medicine physician and owns the practice.

He gave the gunmen $1,200 in cash, and they shot him in the leg before leaving the building, WKMG Orlando reported.

Dr. Khanna's wounds were treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center, according to the reports.

The police have not yet made any arrests in relation to the incident.
