North Dakota's Altru Health First to Join Mayo Clinic Care Network

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic has launched the Mayo Clinic Care Network, a collaboration of providers that will have access to Mayo physicians and expertise, according to a system news release.

The first member of the network is Altru Health System, based in Grand Forks, N.D. Altru partnered with Mayo in May, but its participation in the network finalizes its relationship and strengthens its clinical affiliation.

"The Mayo Clinic Care Network represents non-ownership relationships," says David Hayes, MD, medical director of the network. "The goal is to offer more people and communities access to Mayo Clinic expertise so that patients can benefit without ever having to travel to a Mayo Clinic facility."
