Mayo Clinic Health System inks referral program deal with 49-bed hospital

Winona (Minn.) Health announced a referral agreement with the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, Wis., on March 11, according to the Winona Daily Times.

The collaboration, which will begin later this month, will allow Mayo Clinic Health System to provide a full-time on-site referral coordinator for 49-bed hospital Winona Health.

The goal of the agreement is to provide patients with a seamless, integrated care experience.

"Winona Health provides a full range of services for the greater Winona community. In cases where additional specialty services are needed, we wanted to make that process seamless and smooth for the patient," Rachelle Schultz, president and CEO of Winona Health, said in a statement, according to the publication.
