Hidden camera found in Cleveland Clinic hospital restroom

A hidden camera was discovered in an employee restroom at Cleveland Clinic Medina (Ohio) Hospital April 14, according to News 5 Cleveland.

Police told the television station it is unclear how long the camera was inside the gender-neutral restroom, which is only accessible by employees. The camera was not hooked up to a wireless network or computer, and the footage captured only remained on the device, according to the report.

In a statement to News 5 Cleveland, the health system said it has placed an employee on leave following the discovery of the camera by another employee.

"We put an employee on administrative leave after a camera was found in a staff-only area. Employees in that area were notified, and we are fully supporting the Medina Police Department in its investigation," the Cleveland Clinic said.

It is unclear if any charges have been filed in the case.
