Geisinger's Life Flight partners with St. Luke's on air medical services

Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System officials announced Sept. 27 its Life Flight program will begin providing services to Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network, according to The Daily Item.

Under the agreement, Life Flight will begin providing services at St. Luke's July 1, 2018.

St. Luke's previously contracted with Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine to receive air medical services through the health system's PennSTAR program.

Officials at either health system did not provide additional explanations regarding St. Luke's decision not to renew its contract with PennSTAR. They also did not reveal the financial details of the transaction, the report states.
