CMS completed its first analysis to determine which physicians qualify under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act's Advanced Alternative Payment Model and published the results in a searchable database.
Physicians can find out if they are a qualifying APM participant using their national provider identifier. About 75,000 NPIs were included in the first analysis. The analysis was based on claims from Jan. 1 to March 31. CMS plans to update the database with claims for services completed from Jan. 1 to June 30 soon.
Clinicians participating in the Comprehensive Joint Replacement Model and the Shared Savings ACO Track 1 were not included in the analysis.
