Los Angeles-based Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center named Thomas Yadegar, MD, the 2021 Murray Mazur Physician of the Year, it said Dec. 10.
Dr. Yadegar is the hospital's director of hospitalist services, pulmonary medicine department and intensive care unit.
The award goes to a physician who "epitomizes unyielding dedication toward providing excellence in direct patient care, makes remarkable impact on the lives of others and is revered as a role model" a news release from the medical center stated.
