Utah man arrested for allegedly posing as physician to sexually assault women

A man in Provo, Utah has been arrested for allegedly posing as a physician conducting research in order to lure women to his office and sexually assault them, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.

Borzin Mottaghian, 34, allegedly posted advertisements on Craigslist calling for women to act as paid volunteers in research pertaining to female medical devices. He would then meet women at anoffice and sexually assault them under the pretense they were participating in his research, according to reports from three accusers.

Mr. Mottaghian is not a physician and is not licensed to perform any medical procedures. He was arrested Wednesday after two women accused him of sexual assault, but left jail later that day after posting $25,000 bond. However, a third accuser came forward Thursday and Mr. Mottaghian was arrested again. He is now being held at Utah County Jail on $250,000 bond.
