As the Senate GOP’s plans to pass the Better Care Reconciliation Act begin to stall, President Donald Trump says he believes even if they can't pass the BCRA, Republicans should repeal the ACA, according to The Washington Post.
"If Republican Senators are unable to pass what they are working on now, they should immediately REPEAL, and then REPLACE at a later date!” Mr. Trump tweeted from his personal account Friday morning.
Repealing the ACA without a replacement might be as much of a challenge for Republicans as passage of their own bill. Multiple moderate Republican senators have publicly supported certain measures within the ACA such as funding for Medicaid expansion and opioid treatment that have benefited their constituents.
