Boston-based Steward Health Care rebranded three hospitals the health system recently acquired from Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, according to Vindy.com.
The three hospitals are:
- Northside Medical Center, a 355-bed hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, which will be rebranded Northside Regional Medical Center
- Trumbull Memorial Hospital, a 311-bed facility in Warren, Ohio, which will become Trumbull Regional Medical Center
- Sharon (Pa.) Regional Health System, a 258-bed hospital, which will be rebranded Sharon Regional Medical Center
Another hospital Steward acquired in the transaction, 69-bed Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Warren, will retain its original brand.
Officials said the rebranding is part of the health system's recent regional expansion of care. Each hospital will receive updated logos and signage during the next few months.
The health system also plans to implement a new EHR system across all Steward facilities. Officials expect the EHR to go live in Ohio and Pennsylvania in July 2018, the report states.
The four hospitals were part of the eight-hospital acquisition agreement Steward and CHS signed in May.
