SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital CEO Kate Becker will leave her position, effective July 15, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Here are five things to know about Ms. Becker.

1. Ms. Becker is reportedly leaving the role to serve as CEO of the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. She was named among three finalists for the position by the University of New Mexico last month.

2. According to a news release announcing Ms. Becker's appointment obtained by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Ms. Becker has deep roots in New Mexico: "Her grandparents operated a pharmacy in Albuquerque for many years and her father grew up here," UNM said.

3. Ms. Becker was tapped to lead the SSM Health hospital in 2015. Her decision to leave comes in the midst of the institution's $550 million renovation project to replace the existing facility with a 316-bed hospital and outpatient care center.

4. Prior to her role as president of SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital, she served as president of SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital-St. Louis and interim chief of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, also in St. Louis, according to the report.

5. Ms. Becker's departure comes on the heels of an "abrupt leadership change" at another SSM Health facility. Baraboo, Wis.-based SSM Health St. Clare Hospital confirmed May 16 Laura Jelle is no longer president of the facility.
