After a four year break, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R) is returning to lobbying after signing a contract to represent Coolin, Idaho-based HAPPE Corporation with his firm First Principles, according to Politico.
On the lobbying disclosure form, HAPPE is described as "healthcare partnerships." The company has no website and has never hired a lobbyist before.
Mr. DeLay represented the 22nd district of Texas in the House for over 20 years before resigning in 2006 after being investigated for campaign finance indiscretions as well as his staff's involvement in the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal.
