Senate Democrats seek to create federal agency for drug cost control

Sens. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., both Democratic presidential hopefuls, introduced a bill Nov. 15 that would create a federal Bureau of Prescription Drug Affordability and Access to regulate drug prices, The Hill reports.

The House is voting next month on a bill that would authorize Medicare to negotiate drug prices.
