Though Congressional Republican leadership has not yet focused on repealing and replacing the ACA in 2018, Sen. Lindsay Graham, R-S.C., said Thursday he would continue to push for the legislation's repeal.
Mr. Graham claimed repealing the individual insurance mandate does not do enough to undermine the ACA, and argued that Republicans must completely dismantle the legislation.
"If reports are accurate that the GOP leadership in Congress is giving up on the Republican promise to repeal and replace Obamacare with a more efficient healthcare system, then we deserve to lose," Mr. Graham said.
Mr. Graham will continue to try and drum up support for the Graham-Cassidy proposal, a healthcare bill first introduced in May 2017 that would repeal the ACA and provide block grant funding to states to shape their own healthcare systems.
