Republicans are increasingly speaking out against a proposal from President Donald Trump to lower drug prices by benchmarking them against international prices, The Hill reports.
Opponents include a coalition of conservative groups — as well as Republicans in both the House and Senate, including incoming Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa — who say the proposal amounts to price-fixing. In an unusual turn, Democrats appear to be more aligned with the proposal, The Hill notes.
