Chicago-based Navigant welcomed a new managing director to lead the Navigant Leadership Institute.

This managing director is Rulon Stacey, PhD, who is recognized nationally and internationally as a healthcare leadership expert. He has executive experience across several different health systems, is currently a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and chair of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Overseers. He additionally chairs the CEO Circle of the International Hospital Federation in Geneva, Switzerland, and serves as an adjunct associate professor at Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota School of Public Health.

Through the Navigant Leadership Institute, Dr. Stacey will provide industry guidance and support to health systems transitioning into alternative, value-based reimbursement systems.

"A consistent theme throughout my career has been my commitment to the implementation of a performance excellence model which drives clinical and financial performance by a tenacious focus on data. I believe that utilization of these principles can help organizations across industries improve quality, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and organizational performance," Dr. Stacey said in a statement. "Over the past several months Navigant has been able to build the best team in the industry to focus on these leadership challenges, and I look forward to bringing my hands-on implementation experience to Navigant to help our clients drive operational excellence and leadership service."
