More than 50% of health execs worry about this

Revenue growth, rising expenses and labor costs were among healthcare executives' top concerns for 2019, according to a recent survey by JPMorgan Chase.

For the survey, JPMorgan interviewed healthcare executives from across the nation between Oct. 16, 2018, and Nov. 2, 2018.

Three findings:

1. More than half (52 percent) of those surveyed said revenue growth represented the biggest challenge for healthcare organizations, followed by rising expenses (38 percent), managing labor costs (37 percent) and regulatory requirements and changes (35 percent).

2. Sixty-one percent of executives said their biggest growth strategy at their organization is attracting new patients.

3. The most difficult role to fill at their organizations was physician jobs, 52 percent of respondents said, followed by nurses (46 percent) and other healthcare professionals (38 percent).
